The time it takes to make a decent mesh wick is easily offset by its longevity. I have used them and i like them. HRH finds the TH too harsh for her and will not touch them.

If the holy grail of wicks and coils is something that lasts ages with minimal maintenance i.e. a lazy Trunker setup - then ss mesh and R41 coil is it. More likely is you will get bored and rip it apart to try something new, worry that your ability to build coils will diminish if not used etc!

My advice for using them in an RM2: keep them short like cotton wicks, bending them with tails around the posts is hard unless you roll the mesh differently.

The only flavors I've had really linger are menthol. I don't vape menthol really but, I've mixed it a few times. It fades eventually. The only other one in my entire flavor inventory is Cam-t ultimate from flavour art. Stuff is strong. Very earthy"sandalwood"like in flavor. Seems like a love or hate tobacco flavor. I'm not liking it much..

So I want to try this because I love a good dry burn. Cotton is my go to, but this seems, as Eddie said, more like an atomizer and less like a cartomizer, which is resonating with me right now.

Questions:

- best place to buy SS mesh (price/quality/customer service)?
- 400 the one to get?
- roll, then clip to size, then torch, then slip into coil? Or roll, slip into coil, clip, torch and then attach coil?

Eddie: the stuff I have is 24mg. If you want it, it's yours. If you don't like it or it is too strong, just pass it along to the next person.

If you think it's too strong now, i'll shoot it off to someone who usually vapes 24.

It is actually very good juice, but I prefer other stuff.

Xobe I'd be happy to take it. I'm very thankful. I have a few new vaper friends that buy liquid from me and I've told them about "must try"liquids like BB and GJ. I'd like them to sample it at least but, they won't because they're happy with mine. That and Casablanca but, I've managed to clone Casa. Pm the info.

Vwls there's a link on the first page in this thread and in that thread I think around page 4 is a guide. I've found eBay to be the best deal for mesh. 400 is a solid safe bet unless you're a VG only user. A 12x12 sheet will last you ages.

The size is the number of holes per inch, the idea being that the smaller they are the better it wicks, but the easier it clogs!

i bought mine on ebay but you can get it all over the place - just Google 'wirecloth' and you'll get an idea.

I would torch mine flat on both sides, then roll it and torch it again, and then insert it in a wick and torch that all too! I must like the smell of butane.

The reason is that without that carbon build up on the wick and coil, you will get hotspots and a better chance of shorts. Usually used on Genesis atties like this.

See no reason why not matthee. Works just like mesh without all the rolling. You need a really good pair of heavy duty wire cutters for short lengths, otherwise the strands un twist when cutting.
I like the stuff. Completely neutral in flavor. I did feel that a good mesh roll had a slight edge though on a standard genny wick diameter. Maybe on something as small as a micro coil the cable might offer an advantage. I'll check..

Haven't forgotten Matthee. I need something better to cut the cable. Ran into the same problem I described previously. When it's that short a length of the cable it un-twists using the wire cutters I currently have. Update once I get it right..

Ideally you'd use cable cutters
