Hi guys, fairly new to this. I have an ego-t and recently decided to try dripping. So, I ordered a Joye low resistance 306 atomizer and a Delrin 306 drip tip.

Stuff arrived today and I think it might be messed up. The 306 atty has a soft rubber insert on the top with a small hole in the center of it. When I pop that out, all that is visible is a plastic piece with another small hole in the center.

The drip tip is the exact same diameter of the atty and will not fit in or around it.

I'm thinking one of these two components has to be incorrect. Any thoughts?

306 drip tips are a tight fit and i don't push mine down all the way. I find they slide a bit easier when the atty has a faint film of juice on the outside and is warm.

But first you need to remove the dummy black cart from the atty. Pull it off. The atty is all steel and brass w/ an exposed bridge, no color

If it's any consolation, you are not the first to mistake the dummy black cart for the outside of the atty.

Yes - correct

It is a dummy plastic 306 cart. The 306 cart fits over the atty. The dummy may or may not have the inner recessed tiny juice cup and if it does, it probably will not have stuffing in it. Since it's a dummy it may not have the inner juice cup at all. It's just used to protect the atty.

Screw the atty onto the Ego to make it easier to pull the cart off.

This part is the atomizer (click to see photo)
