Sick of the mess

Haven't used a cart in months. Maybe I don't vape as much as most, but I like cartomizers. Sometimes I get busy and fill a bunch, and sometime I am lazy and just throw the empties in my drawer.

I spent 10 bucks a day on analogs, so I could burn through 5 cartomizers a day and chuck them for less money than my smoking habit.

I have never gone through more than 2 cartos a day, so I am saving money with no mess.

I would try maybe a drop or two less when dripping and draw not so hard.
Only time I get juice in my mouth is if I drip through the tip and it doesn't all go down through the tube.


As far as flooding, when I get poor vapor but I know there is juice in there, I remove atty blow it out, then vape without adding drops. If you get good vapor that means it was flooded.
I make my atty's bridgeless and it's usually only one drop at a time when vaping. If the bridge and mesh are all intact there is more material to absorb the juice but still should only take 2-3 drops max for 510.

Thats just what works for me. Hope you find your solution.

I never have any mess at all when dripping, and hardly ever get juice in my mouth. I can drip when I'm walking around with no problems so I'm not sure what people are doing so wrong.

I'll go through how I do it, maybe it'll help.

I use plastic Dekang dripper bottles.
I use both stainless steel and delrin tips, but prefer the warmth of the stainless.
I use VG liquid - much less runny than PG. The gloopiness makes the drips very slow and controllable.
I turn the bottle upside-down and barely squeeze - the juice neatly drips out slowly. 2 or 3 drops.
I check there's none in the tip, if there is then I quickly blow a little into the tip.
I wait a few seconds for wicking then vape.

You can get cartomizers from Eastmall for .80 each. They are usually l.95 everywhere else. Eastmall's shipping is 17.00 but if you order enough it pays off.

I had always used atomizers but started having problems with them dying. It is much cheaper to use cartos and when one taste bad or is not working good just throw it away.

I would definitely recommend that you stay with the drip tip and us "drippers". Just get a BETTER longer drip tip like a delrin from goodprophets or litecigusa, and when you drip ONLY use 3 drops at a time to make sure you do not flood the atomizer. Try to drip directly into the middle and right after dripping BLOW kind of hard into the drip tip / atomizer making sure any juice that is on the walls of the drip tip ends up in the atomizer (on it's bridge).

Assuming you have a 510 atomizer, this is the drip tip you want : 510/901 Delrin/Plastic Drip Tip

Notice how long it is which is good because that gives more distance between your lips and the atomizer bridge.

Believe me ! Don't stop dripping! In my opinion you get the best flavor and waste MUCH less juice. I never make any mess or get any juice in my mouth.. just make sure you get a "long" drip tip.. drip 3 DROPS (no need for more than that) blow into the driptip .. tap it if you like .. and enjoy.

Couldn't have put it any better myself. I really never drip when I am out and about though. I have at least 30 pre-filled cartomizers in stock at all times Hey I am lazy and not poor. But you do get the best vape and flavor from dripping.

Ok what do you think is the best color for a vaping hero costume. I was thinking the color of nicotine, but pure nic is see threw and that ones not going to happen.

Some times if it is slightly flooded you can power threw it just point the battery end down and vape. But if it is really flooded best thing to do is blow the fluid out into a paper towel. Lung power should be applied to the threaded end on the atomizer. Also put a tissue in the battery threads and sop up the juice that got in there. Good rule of thumb is when you get a dry hit put in 2 or 3 drops till you get a dry hit again then repeat with 2 or 3 drops. That will usually keep you from flooding out. As with most things the more you do it the better you get at it. Dry hits suck bad but now i know right away when the atty is dry and stop and drip. Takes a bit of time but you will get the hang of it

Cartomizers are the way to go IMO. They are not expensive, I have thrown out 2 so far in my 3 month's of vaping. They are easy to fill, you don't have to refill them very much and no burnt taste. I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I can get tons more flavor from a carto then dripping.

I am now convinced I have been flooding my attys. Even when using carts because I have been so worried about burning them out I always top off my carts and add two drops on the atty even if my cart is full. When I take off the cone there is liquid all over the place!
I am so glad I asked. I will keep trying to drip. I like it and I have gotten some good info on this thread.
