Ummmmm......you said Woodvil first!!!! I just agreed with you! The REO things just happens, sometime, somewhere after your first REO purchase!

I'll tell you when it happens ...... about 8 minutes after your first one arrives.
Its like Rob fills the box with dopamine before he seals it shut.

You open your first REO take a few hits off it and run around the house yelling "I need more .... I need more!"

I Didn't end up ordering the parts for the 18490s .It was eating at me I was going to just cut the grand down to fit a 18490.The truth is I no I can do better then that as far as size goes. I was up late last night working on this .
I should be trying to convert the mini not the grand. I no many of you want the metal 18490 but I need a little more time I want this to be perfect and rushing in is only asking for problems . Bare with me folks its coming I have plate full but I will get this going

I say take your time and do it your way Rob, quality first. And your right, the whole reason I want one is for the smaller size and longer batt life. But smaller size is critical for portability to me.

Just my two cents, you made the right decision here.

Robert, I know you can and will come up with the perfect size for this metal 18490. The fact that you are willing to step back and look at your progress and see another path, is why your REO's have become quality PV's.
The demands of the masses for this REO in their hand must sometimes take a backseat to the build.
Do what you must, when you must, and how you must do it.
We will all be here, waiting, in anticipation of your next update.

take your time, we don't want you to be overworked and not being able to do a thing for months, that would make us much more unhappy then waiting for some time longer on what's basically some extra luxery. well, that's what longer battery life means to me, swapping about 3 batts a day isn't even close to a hassle as not having a reo at all...

Robert, we share your desire for it to be the best it can be, not the fastest it can be. Once you set up the machining, you are pretty well stuck with the design. I think that taking the time to get the design right is the most important thing that you can do, for your satisfaction, and for us. Measure twice, cut once. :)
