did you prime your coil, how does your vape taste?how many watts do you vape at?
I prime them, taste great, 70 watts. This seems really weird, been vaping for about 5 months this last time, every thing has been going fine until now. I don't know if it's from vaping or if I have some kind of oral health problem causing it, but I know when I put the vape down for two days it went away.

Hello @Larzmarz, Freemax mesh coils use Kanthal. Maybe like me you have a strong dislike of Kanthal.

I tried to use a Kanthal QF strip coil in my Vaporesso Skrr tank because I had run out of GT CCell Stainless Steel coils, only took a few puffs and it tasted that bad to me I ended up binning the coil, dumping the liquid and cleaning the tank.

It's hard to find quality metal alloys even in the US these days. Chinesium has found its way here, too. The highest grade kanthal is sandvik sourced. More expensive but well worth it. The best 316L I've used came from a medical supply company selling surgical sutures. However, they don't make Claptons. You'll have to do that yourself. Advanced Vape Supply (USA) specializes in all types of 316L wire and premade coils. They promise quality SS and I tend to believe them.

Do you know a source of decent pre built coils? I'm not ready to try rebuilding yet.

@Nancy D If you're looking for SS I would follow the link in my post you just quoted. They offer pre-wrapped coils as well as spooled Claptons, etc.

Thanks! I guess eventually I’ll want to diy coils, but for now buying good SS coils is easier.
That chinesium reference had me for a few minutes. lol

    Enjoy the weekend!
