Another thing that kills me is the fact that the batteries I got from them are not interchangeable with my Janty Classic/standard penstyle. I can live with getting a bad atomizer, but since I can't even use the batteries as spares - its been a total waste of money. I don't know how they can advertise these products as being compatible.

OutWest - are your atomizers with the awful taste also from best-e-cigs? Mad, I bought a set of 5 atomizers from them some weeks ago too. I have meanwhile tried 3 out of those 5, and all 3 have the same issue as yours. It's bad enough that I can't find the courage just yet to even try those last 2... recovering at the moment with the use of other atomizers I luckily also had around...
So... it might be a very bad batch of atomizers from the one company?

(Edit: if it's just the primer, first blow out what you can, that lessens what you have to work through by 90% if not more...) (and no, I know what primer-issue is and the issue Mad and I are having is definately not a primer-issue).
no, from a US seller. And, cant read the tiny print on the battery to see which mfg. Too dang small.

edit to add: found magnifying lens. Code on battery is either N or NO (cant tell if it's an 'O' or a zero). Full # is N090206

just an update - seller was very helpful and offered to replace the atomizer. I elected to keep the atomizer instead because the taste did eventually get better (the last of bad taste went away today -- at the time I contacted seller it was still pretty bad but was appearing to get better). and, I purchased a second atomizer from him so that i'll have one to use and one for a spare.

What is the general view on boiling atomisers as soon as they arrive/before use? And do you use anything else in the water, e.g., vinegar, bicarbonate soda, or just plain water?

I boil mine as soon as i open them. I use straight water and boil for 1 minute. Then I blow it out through both ends. 6 drops of juice on the bridge and I start puffing right away. I havent had any problems this way and I dont get that nasty taste from the primer fluid they use.

Okay I took your advice and just went and boiled a nearly new atomiser (wasn't bad tasting but felt a bit off).
Seems super smooth now, but that could be my imagination (or too much nicotine perhaps), it certainly seems more like my old one that was superb just before it broke :(

Thanks again, I will be boiling all my new atomisers from now on - got four backups coming tomorrow :D

i'm still having problems with my M-402. I'm draining 2 atomizers (one had fluid drain out so maybe it was flooded?)

I have the 3rd atomizer in there and still no vapor. It's hard to break them in when I'm having problems.

I'm confused totally now = if I was dripping the atomizer would be wet and I should get good vapor. The atomizer is wet and still little vapor. I'm doing the slow sucking on it like a milkshake.

The battery flashed 3x today which I assume was a low battery? I wasn't sure if it was the cleaning cycle.... the manual doesn't say much. Especially about the atomizer. It just says it's disposable. It sounds like their referring to disposable all in one carts/atty's.

I'm really getting discouraged wondering if this is defective. I have 2 batteries, 3 atomizers, and a bunch of carts. I can give it a week to see if I get some vapor, but each atty has the same problem = little vapor. I'm wondering if the batteries are charging correctly? That usb connection flashed green/red after several hours. I did the 8 hr charge initially.

I'd contact the company about possibly defective, but I read their warranty and it looks like they'll replace defective parts on your next order. At $15. shipping, I'm not into ordering MORE to fix something that should work out of the box.

Highly unlikely that all the parts are bad though... unless it's the charger that's bad. Could that be the problem? The batteries?

Someone mentioned boiling the atomizers for 1 minute to clean them. Are there no electronic parts in the atomizer to be ruined with water?

I'm sorry for so many questions! I really, really appreciate everyone's patience and help. I purchased some 4mg nicorette gum yesterday and I am FINALLY getting my nicotine fix. I'm still trying to get vapor along with the gum and haven't had an analog since last night with the gum.

So it seems that the lack of vapor is causing lack of nictotine? The gum and occasional vapor coming out of it seems to be a nice combo, but the vap is what i need.

Thx guys!

I purchased 5 penstyle atomizers from bestecig. The first two had that horrible metallic taste. I didn't even try the other 3. I boiled each for a minute. I then wadded up a paper towel in cork-screw fashion and inserted the cork-screwed paper towel into the penstyle atomizer's housing to soak up the excess water from the bridge. I then blew out both ends and re-soaked up any more water to ensure the bridge / atomizer was dry.

Dripping 5-6 drops of vape juice onto the bridge, I then screwed the atomizer onto the battery and attached a pre-filled cartridge. I then used a little trick I figured out through the course of my vaping- blew on the battery end (yes, the penstyle is fully assembled at this point) and watched the vapor steam off the mouthpiece. I did this for a good 10 seconds.

I then proceeded to vape and that horrid metallic taste was gone!

Rinsed and repeated for all 4 remaining atomizers and now my bulk purchase from China is fully justified.

--- Until I purchase a Prodigy v1 from puresmoker.com, of course. :p

At any rate, thanks for your help ProStreet!

Happy Vaping!

i have ordered batts and attys from Bestecig and eastmall
i have found that eastmall have a better product, for one thing the batt from bestecig are activated by sound, even just waving it around will lite it,thats probably why they where blinking, whereas the ones from eastmall are pressure sensitive and only lite when you drag.
as for the attys ,the ones that came from eastmalls have a thinker brigde mesh. but the perform about the same, a bite better from eastmall.

i also boil in water as soon as i get my hand on them lol, reprime them and ziplock frige for storage

I got five 510 atomizers from Eastmall. Brand new the first atty tasted metallic and and had a weird popping sound, eventually taste went away though.
The second is worse - metallic taste and burns my nose if I french inhale so there is something in the vapor, which is thick but tastes weird like I said.
Weirdly it also seems to make fillings in my teeth tingle 8-o What is it I'm smoking here? Metal, oil? Who knows ..
