You got one !

Ok,, put the black lead or "wire" in the middle hole that sez "COM"
The red lead go's on the right,, (the symbol for ohms is the little horse shoe) :) .
Now turn the dial to where it's pointing to the 200 ohm or straight down.
OK, put the points of your test leads in top of the screws, it doesn't matter which way just touch both screws at the same time one lead on each screw and you should get an ohms reading while holding them there.
You can just leave the atomizer on the Grand while you test the ohms just don't fire it when checking for ohms.

HA!!! Thank you!! I am getting 2.4. I could not figure out what to put that darn dial on and hubs was ok with me getting it because he's a fixer upper type guy and says you can never go wrong owning 1......lol

if your meter is as cheap as mine, you may need to compensate for the resistance in the leads. if your meter reads 0 or thereabouts when touching the red and black leads together then you're ok.

in my case, my cheapo meter reads 1.2 ohms when i short the two leads together. so if i measure a 2.0 ohm carto, for example, my meter reads 3.2 and i have to subtract the lead resistance in my head.

Good point !
I get .2 on the cheaper meter and 0 on the high $ meter, also have an older analog meter with a ohms zero dial.
So yes you do have to check it.

what should the ohms be reading and if that's wrong how do I correct that?

The "correct" ohm reading is a matter of preference. I see folks that prefer anywhere from 3.0 to less than 1.0 ohm. My personal preference is around 1.8 ohms, although it's usable (for me) as low as 1.5 and as high as 2.1(ish). (Higher ohms gives a cooler vape, lower gives warmer, but if you go too low, some juices start to taste "burnt")

The ohms are determined simply by the length of wire you have between the posts. One way to get it how you like it, is to measure the wire to the length you need (adding a bit for the "tails" that come thru the posts and get cut off or bent out of the way). The length varies by the gauge and type of wire you're using, my 30ga Kanthal A1 is .7 ohms per inch, so I measure about 3 1/4 inches (allowing for 1/2 inch of tails that get cut off).

If you're not using Kanthal A1 30ga, you can google for a chart (e.g., "kanthal a1 wire resistance per inch") like this one.
