Just bought some of this, was $50 a day ago, the discount took me over the edge. Read a lot of good things about this brand, starting DIY : )
MFS? It'd be worth asking if this sale is of their regular stock or a good buy from an outside source. Might not be the nic your used to getting from them.
Question: So what VG/PG nic mix do "most" people buy and why? I am thinking of grabbing a Liter of the nic and some other goodies to experiment with some DIY juices. I'm using clearos for now, but would like to try an rda or two.
When I actually get enough time to sit down and learn the ins and outs of mixing my own juices, DIY looks a lot more cost effective.
I can see dripping getting to be expensive with store-bought juices!

What nic level do you vape at? If you use, for example 10mg, then only 10% of your mix will be from the nic base. If you get 50/50, then only 5% will be PG, and 5% will be VG, so you can blend up to 95/5 mixtures either way.
Or you could just get a liter of each ;-)
PG keeps the nicotine "fresher" longer and being less viscous it is easier to work with, so if your mix allows it*, you should stick with PG.
*Why wouldn't it be "allowed," you ask? Consider the following: you want your final mix to be 70/30 VG (70% VG/30% PG) at 18mg nic. You know you need 20% flavoring, and the flavors are PG-based. If the nic base you're working with is 60mg, then you cannot achieve this with pure PG-based nic. To achieve an 18mg mix from 60mg nic, it needs to comprise 30% of the final mix. But if that's all PG, and you only want 30% PG overall, then you have to fill the other 70% with pure VG, and that leaves no room for the 20% PG-based flavorings. In this case, you would need to use a different carrier for your nic base and/or a higher concentration, to achieve the desired 70/30 ratio.

I know Pg is a good for germs etc. But I did not know it help nic stay "Fresher." I thought nic's worst enemies were air, heat and sunlight.
I began my DIY journey in 2009. Never looked back.
I had a liter of PG based nic go 'rank' rather quickly. Began to smell and taste like fish.. smelly socks.. NASTY.
Talked to a chemist professor friend. He did some research. Called me back and said VG might be better. Thicker means slower molecule movement or something like that.
So I ordered VG based nic from the same company I got the PG based from. Have not had the VG based nic take on that fishy smelly sock smell. Been using it for almost 6 years now.
Guess I need to give him a ring and see if he still feels the same about it.
But then again, if it ain't broke and all that jazz, why bother with changing it.

I just broke out some MFS 100mg VG nic from the freezer {in a 4 oz glass bottle} that has been stored for 4 months. It gets extremely thick. After it became room temperature, I mixed it down. I was very happy that it is as crystal clear and odorless as the day I put it in the freezer. Good stuff IMO.

I have a freezer full. One can never have too much nic
6 or 7 months ago, I found a bottle in the freezer from 2010.
Opened it and it tested 3 mg less than what I stored it at (did not have a test kit when I stored it. SO no idea. It may have been 3 mg under then as well) It is crystal clear and taste just fine.I have a bottle that I was using when I found the 2010 bottle in the freezer. That nic is in a amber glass bottle. Cracked it open and it smells and tastes fine as well. It is 9 months old stored at room temp.
So VG for me as well.
Well I hope you can freeze it and have it last 28 years cause that's how much I just ordered from MFS.
I vape 4mg NIC so I figure at my current rate, 4L should last me 28 years. I'll probably be gone before then but you never know, right? Lol
Actually I make some 12mg for a friend once every couple of weeks so I'll go through it faster than that.

I guess I had misunderstood this article over at nudenicotine.com -- it looks like it's the PG itself that has the longer shelf life, and not necessarily the nicotine that's dissolved in it:
For all those that are rushing to make this order, if for some reason you can't do it, fret not for this sale seems to be happening more often than not. Don't do like me, make sure you have your storage plans worked out first -- that is if you plan on really stocking up!
Just ordered a couple bottles myself so I can start DIY juice. Thanks for the heads up!
