fyi i knew it might get seized but took a chance anyways as 1liter 100mg nic was $50 + $30 for delivery =$80u.s, = $92 canadian
ordered 1liter liquid nicotine to bolton ont. using FedEx International Priority, got to canada at Mississauga on the 2nd day but customs seized it.
fedex gave me the customs tel # to call, customs state the its health canada not permitting it, i have 2 choices, pay for health canada to destroy it or tell shipper to return it to sender. called fedex and they need it released back to them and check to see if shipper wants it back, still not sure whos going to pay for that, what a joke.

for the price i took a gamble as canadian prices are ........ well look below

canadian 1 > $26/100ml 50mg nic x10 = $260/1 liter 50mg nic x2 = $520/1 liter 100mg nic +taxes

canadian 2 > $24/120ml 48mg nic x8.33 = $200/1 liter 48mg nic x2.08 = $416/1 liter 100mg nic +taxes

canadian 3> $249 1liter 100mg nic. best deal i see in canada,

canadian 2 lists 1liter 48mg for $125 but it never seems to be in stock.

currently canadian 2 has 120ml in stock but not 1 liter also can only buy 1 120ml bottle at a time"The maximum order quantity for product "Base 48 PG USP - 120ML" is 1."

edit:removed vendors names just incase big brother is watching

I hear ya. I've been wanting to get into DIY juice myself, but at the prices in Canada for the base, it's barely worth the savings. You factor in the cost of the mixer VG/PG, flavorings, and time spent.... it's not exactly the HUGE savings as people say.
imo i still think it will still be cost effective even at Canadian prices as my nic strength is between 6 and 10, i used to be 26.
for glycerin i'll try the health or drug stores or just buy it online depending on prices, flavoring seems to be the same from resellers.
i estimate approx $2 /30ml bottle and i vape that much in about 3-5 days lately w/my naut mini

I never calculated how much a bottle of DIY at canadian nicotine price would turn out, but I can definitely say that with the us nicotine price, the savings are huge, I've been DIY for already 3 years now :)

My advice do not go through any courier service you have a much better chance through the mail system.

Edited to add- Something very different is going on at Canadian customs right now with certain types of DIY products. I am really not sure what has happened but right now so many people are having problems getting things through.

I had to prove to Health Canada that an order from Poland for Inawera products were indeed nicotine free by faxing pages from the website and they did check the website as well. All that was in that order was food flavorings and pg/vg bases. Hmmm , things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Oddly my order last week from the same supplier and shipping method the OP used simply flew through and was delivered quickly as was the case with all previous orders.

It has often been demonstrated that Health Canada's regulatory position on nicotine is contradictory, seriously flawed, and not based on the relevant laws and regulations yet they continue to stop the occasional shipment in this way.

It does seem the climate has changed very recently.
