Starting out with a variety of strengths isn't a bad way to go. It gives you options. As for basing it off the nicotine strength of the cigarettes you smoke, that is a bit difficult to quantify. How much of that nicotine you actually get depends on how you inhale, how often you inhale, and how deeply you inhale. And there is also the factor of how many of those cigarettes you smoked per day. Then all of those factors apply to your
vaping habits.
People tend to self titrate their dosages fairly well. So try what you have. If you get dizzy, nauseated, feel bad etc, then you likely need to
vape less or move down to a lower strength. Now if you are left feeling unsatisfied, that can be a bit more of a conundrum. You may need a higher strength, or to physically vape more, but it may be more the habit (the lighting, the packing, the going outside, the socialization) than the nicotine.
There are alot of variables here. The best thing you can do is try to listen to what your body is saying. There doesn't seem to be a direct correlation. I know heavy smokers who found themselves content with 6mg juices, and I know light smokers who found their sweet spot at 24 mg. Then you can add in the time constant. I know people who were chain smokers who are content with a few puffs every now and again, and the reverse may also be true.
So, sorry if this seems like a really long explanation. Peoples experiences are very personal, very specific to them. Your experience is likely to be different from anyone elses. But, to make a long story even longer, those numbers do not mean nearly as much a you would think they do. And also, starting with a variety of strengths sounds like a good start.
