Cool, thanks. So wire degradation is more prominent with micro coils? Is the decrease in resistance as much with 28 gauge? Thanks again.

Not sure what you mean, I have coils that have been the same resistance for weeks of pretty constant use. 28g being thicker will be sturdier, but I've never HAD to rebuild a micro coil, they just get rebuilt because I want to try something else.

I've torched or not. Both work. Benefit of torching is that it takes the springiness out of the wire, so it kin'a stays where you put it better. This is much more pertinent to higher gauge wires (29, 30, 32). Fatter wires usually stay where you want them to. Electrically, it does seem to establish some kind of oxide coating that minimizes shorts within the coil. Those shorts, however, tend to get resolved in the first two/three dry firing and pinching steps (during initial setup . . . before inserting wick)

Just wanted to say thanks for the replies. I finally had time to sit down and play with a couple. I'm actually surprised how I like a relatively high resistance. The one I'm using now is 4.3.. I'm also using my normal carto-tank liquid with it, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the lower resistances more when I get nicotine levels for dripping with it. Thanks a ton yous guys!
