What technique is best for getting the coils to have continuous contact? / having all the coils touching? It seems like I try like heck to wrap them so close that they touch but when I take out the nail/pin whatever they always spring away from each other. I am using 32 guage because that was recomended for a noob. I like the 1.6 ohm range. I am now twisting the 32 with two strands and more wraps to get a great vape, but I want to achiebe this contact tyoe coil. I am using a patriot rda on an atmizoo dingo. Waiting in an AL-1 genesis

Most people use 28ga for micro-coils because it is thicker and easier to compress.

This is for 28ga wire:
When you wrap the wire be sure you are not wrapping at an angle. You want your wraps to be vertical to one another. After you remove the nail/pin, torch the coil to red hot and then use a pair of pliers to squeeze the coil together. Be sure to hold the end of the coil with tweezers or pliers when you torch so you don't burn your fingers. You might have to do this a couple of times but it will keep those wraps together. Also, It's not imperative that all the wires are touching. It will still work if a couple aren't touching.

I think this procedure would be impossible with 32ga wire.

Are you using kanthal? My twisted 32GA kanthal coils nicely plus it is screw terminal friendly unlike plain wire. The ID may spring open a little but coils are nearly touching. I don't even torch prior to winding on a drill bit.

In today's coil battles between 10 coils (5 IGO-F and 5 IGO-L) the winner was 1/16" ID twisted 32GA kanthal wrapped to 1.2 ohms.
