TL;DR .8 ohm dual microcoils, after cleaning and crimping they jump between .8 ohm and 6+ ohms. Sperate the coils a little and back to .8 ohm. WHAT HELL?

Story mode: A month ago I upgraded to a hana clone/magma rda, so now I have some power and space to play. Had this build for about 3 weeks; 1.6 ohm coils (28 gauge, 5 wraps) on 3mill ekowool. Last week I cleaned it and tightened the coils a little. The resistance started jumping between .8 and 4 ohms. Maybe the cheap board is already fried, but after a few hours bumping around at work, it was fine again. Today, clean, crimp, throw on hana "Check Atty" Grab meter. "6" "3" "15" "300" Poke at coils ".8", crimp "6.5"
My electrical knowledge isn't great, but I'm reasonably sure that's not normal. I'm ready to pull these coils, but what gives?

Definitely sounds like a short. Simple stuff first, are you positive your contacts are fully secured? Make sure the screws are tightened down all the way. Secondly, make sure the coil isn't making contact with any metal. Who is the Hana clone made by? Cloupor?

If it's not either of those, it may be the chip. Also, did you take the AFC ring off of the magma?
