Hi all,

Been vaping for about a month so far, and am loving it. I started off using a protank and MVP 2, but just purchased a fogger v2 to try my hand at rebuilding. I was aiming to get a resistance around 1.5-1.8 ohms, and made 9 wraps around a 2mm screw driver. This ended up being only .6 ohms, as measured by the mvp and wouldnt fire. Ended up having to make 14 wraps to get a resistance of 1.1 ohms, which is way less than expected.

Its firing well, and the production is good. Its just a little slow on the warm up, being a longer coil. Am I doing something wrong? How can I get the expected resistance for my wraps.

Thanks everyone!

What gauge wire are you using? Also there are free apps for phones and even free coil tools that you can download onto a computer that lets you input your wire gauge, what size tool you are wrapping around and target resistance that will tell you how many wraps it will take to achieve your target resistance. I use 30 ga Kanthal around a 2mm screw driver and 6 wraps gets me around 1.5 ohms. Keep it at and you will be re-building like a pro in no time, videos on youtube also helped me with wicks which I only use cellucotton(rayon). Good luck and Happy vaping!

    Thanks all for the replies.

I only have 28 gauge at the moment. I have ordered some 30 so that should help.

And according to vapers toolbox, it should be 9/8 wraps to get to 2.0 ohms with a 2mm diameter, so I'm way off haha.

Thanks, I'll try it with the 30 and see what happens. You don't think that the positive pin connection to the mvp has to be adjusted? The fogger has an adjustable 510 connection, but thought its used mostly for mech mods that aren't connecting...
