I have a smokAl tank and and using a rebuidable DIY coil. It is a dual coil. I am using 28 guage wire and using 12 wraps. When I fire up my battery it says my resistance is 1.2 ohms. Is it not supposed to be lower ohms. It tastes alot stongerr than it does when I use the ready built coils. Help!! How many wraps should I use?

What diameter mandrel are you wrapping them around? Also the 2 coils are in parallel so if you use 2 2.4 ohm coils your coil resistance will be 1.2 ohms.
I am sure someone on here will point you to a coil calculator program which I do not know were it is.

Like was mentioned above, coil calc chart is your best bet. Coil diameter, and spacing, tightness, all come in to play on rebuilding
