A brother of mine has been vaping an N mini and istck 20 for the past 18 months and vaping liquid I mix for him and doesn't want to change a thing but he had to go into a vape shop recently because he didn't have enough liquid while on the road and apparently paying a dollar and signing some forms so he could sample was traumatic. Now he's full of questions and quite concerned about the future.

I know nothing about tanks since I stopped using my N mini because these days I only use an RDA. Question is, what's the right rebuildable tank to get him started? He's MTL 1.8 ohm coils, 10 watts, typical N mini. I remember the N mini having outstanding flavor and vapor quality. The only reason I don't use it is because I can't rebuild it, a shame.

Does anyone want to recommend a tank that's reasonably easy to rebuild that might come close to thee N mini vape experience? I would prefer he learn to rebuild on an rda because it's easier but I might not get my way on that but finally he's interested.

My dailies are lemo2's, but they aren't the easiest. Like anything, once you figure them out they are automatic though. Id suggest the avocado. 22 or 24. I use both daily. Side thought, do they still sell the 22? It's genesis style, so building is basically like building an rda, but with the benefit of a tank. I'd have to say the flavor is just as good as my goon. I've only used them in the 0.5-1.0ohm range, but would assume they would work fine for 1+.

Some like the limitless plus. Same style, but I've never tried one. You should get a genesis style tank and "test" it out for him.

Probably something like a Kayfun V5/clone. Someone else can give you more info on it as I have only used one a couple of times since it's not really my style, but Kayfuns are undoubtedly the rebuildables for MTL vapers.

Another vote for a Kayfun. The KF mini V3 is great on flavor and has a tight draw, same size as the nautilus mini too.

I don't know about the v5, though. From what I understand, it's trying to be something a Kayfun is not (a direct-lung sub-ohm device.) I know there's a MTL adapter you can buy for it but I'm not sure if or how well it works.

Something else in the Kayfun line, though, sure. Big fan of the Lite Plus version 2, myself. Also have heard good things about the v3 Mini and also the v4 (basically just a scaled-up version of the mini -- both have glass tanks, top-fill and adjustable juice-flow which the Lite does not have any of those.)

I know the V5 has airflow reducers but that might be a bit much for a newer vaper and idk if the reducers are available for/fit on the clones... and I'm surely not suggesting a $115 tank for... well anyone, personally. You may very well be right about the V5, though. I was under the impression that the airflow could be reduced enough for a good MTL experience without reducers, but I absolutely could be wrong. I just know PBusardo uses one a lot and he's MTL only, but he's got the reducers and I can only assume an authentic.

ed: I want a better MTL tank myself but can't afford authentic KFs... do you have clones or authentics? If you have clones, can you recommend any? I know Tobeco is usually safe but not sure which they make. The V5 might be better for me, anyway, as long as I can get some kind of MTL out of it since I like it looser even for that... but I've got more DL tanks than I know what to do with. Time to do some searching.

I use Lite Plus v2 clones by EHPro, but they're getting kinda hard to find these days, especially if you just want the SS version and not one of the colored ones (white/black/rose gold). I remove the airflow adjustment screws and just run them "wide open," which is still pretty restricted. If you prefer a looser draw, you might be better off with a v5 after all but I've never used one myself, so I can't comment from experience.
