I am still in my P.J.'s! LOL! Mike's meds have been increased..they are knocking him out! he will get used to them after a while. meanwhile we had a quiet day!
Keyzy..Thank God! I was ready for some good news! You aren't still waiting on him hand and foot are you? LOL
We will all need to go to keyzt's and kidnap her for a day! Is that restaurant Scarletts still open?

MK....sounds like you had a busy day....hope things improve for you sooner than later

Sorry to hear about the neuropathy.....unfortunately my dad is diabetic and at 58 already has problems with his feet....

Update:
All day at the V.A. and Moffitt cancer center. We saw the pain Dr. and he raised the level of meds for Mike. Mike got his first Hormone shot. he said they were little pellets not liquid so they would break down slowly. He also got hormone pills to take daily.
We saw his neuro surgeon. he said his back pain was here to stay. To operate would just trading pain for worse problems. His foot numbing and leg pain was neuropathy and again..it was chronic and would get worse over time. See you next year unless the pain is worse. He really was very nice..but there is nothing to be done.
After that we dropped off the rx's and got shuttled over to Moffitt. Mike took an hour long test and we went shopping for daughter's 40th birthday present. then to pick up the table..grabbed some bread and milk and finally got home. Talk about dead tired!

We are good,he gets a little better everyday.

MK, I was so glad to see that some treatment has been started for Mike. He is very fortunate to have you as his advocate. I have learned the hard way that Drs are not God, and they are just "practicing". One has to learn all they can about their conditions, and stand up for themselves or have someone that can. It sounds like you have a plan and have it under control to relieve as much stress for yourselves as you can. Those little things that can be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Do take care of yourself also.

Well my Jeff is doing wonderful.He must be feeling much better because he is bored and driving me crazy,LOL!!Thats a good thing.

Nothing going on here till June and July. Sigh...
But he is taking the hormone cocktail (pills and shots). He is dead tired by 5pm, he gets up at 4am but goes back to sleep later.
he loves his laptop! he is learning to do seaches and can do a search string. he found sites dedicated to his group in Viet nam..both tours! he has decided to buy a kayac...yeah right! He has seen every site dealing with them.
He is currently watching every Hulu ever uploaded!

Mike is helping keep himself entertained sounds like....boy kayaking and hula girls...Are you sure that there is something wrong with this man? Thank God for computers! And are you taking some time for yourself...like hulaing or sumpin... Know it's hard waiting for the more aggressive treatment. Remember you are not alone......
