Update:
Mike has just started his last two weeks of radiation. He is so tired! He looks forward to Saturday and Sunday because he feels a bit stronger.
His hot flashes were so bad they scared me. He flushed and broke out in sweats..then went weak and nearly passed out a few times. The worst part was that they came in clusters of two to four in an hour! I did my normal searches and found that female hormones would help. The Dr. agreed and gave him some. He still gets the flashes but more like I used to..just a bit uncomfortable to annoying. He said he would help me fight for them from now on..lol! It made me mad that the Doctor and Nurse said the hot flashes were normal..that was NOT normal! Mike gave him the study I printed out and said "my wife said to use these".

He has some redness on his sides..he said the machine goes around him in a circle. He uses the cream they gave him for that. His hips are still sore (part of prostate cancer). he is still getting the hormone shots and that will continue for 2 years.
Once his is finished with radiation we will have to wait for a few weeks to find out what the verdict is. If the numbers and scans look bad..he will have more radiation. We knew the chances were 50/50 to begin with so what ever the outcome is..we are prepared (as best as we can be). But we will continue to seek further help.
Today Mike had two teeth (in the back) pulled. The surgeon said they could probably save them by doing root canels and crowns but he said that with his health history it wasn't the smart thing to do. Teeth can affect your whole immune system and heart..the faster the infection heals the better and the same with the bad teeth. They pulled them. more drugs..lol but he feels pretty good (looks funny with a swollen jaw) He ordered toast and sausage gravy for dinner and got jello and mashed potatos! What an optomist!
