Im at home!! Everything went fine. They couldnt go in the same way as before because there was nerve and muscle damage already from the last surgery so they went in through my ear this time. The stitches are all inside from the very begining of my ear canal, that little bump of cartilage in front over the lobe, they split it there and opened the canal all the way in.They took out all the prosthetics because they had all shifted out of position and they replaced them all and fused them onto the cartilage. Then they put an implant in behind my eardrum.New eardrum and fixed canal.I had to laugh at the aftercare rules the doctor gave me.He said no walking around unless absolutly necessary,no lifting over 1lb,no bending or stooping. Then he said basically dont move unless you have to for the next month.LOL!I will try but REALLY? That sounds kinda difficult for me.I still have alot of swelling and pain but I feel pretty good considering.Im just thankful its over and Im home.My dog is laying here with me and I think he will hang out and keep me company.Im very tired.Thank you all for helping me get through this. Now to just get through a month of quiet.(((Hugs!)))

The pain meds are helping.I have been eating yogurt. They scratched up my throat removing the air tube so the cold yogurt feels good.I vaped in preop and had my ecig in recovery.I just needed it in my hand to feel more secure, lol.Everyone seemed fine with it.

After surgery I wanted my bag and they said it was missing. It was not in the locker it was supposed to be in.I was kind of grouchy and insisted they look for it because my purse and all my personal stuff was in it.Hubs had left the hospital before they took me in and forgot to take my purse to lock it in the trunk.I was pretty foggy from the drugs but the name of the man who took my bag popped into my head, kinda funny because I couldnt have told you a single persons name from the whole day but I told the head nurse FIND James Braithwaite and ask him where my bag is! His name stuck in my head because it reminded me of Tasty Vapors Geoff, lol. The man came and said he did not recognize me and he did not take my bag.I told him he was the person who took my bag and he said it was in locker#1 in room 628.He took the bag while I used the ladies room before surgery and I wanted my bag back now so he better go find it or I would call security to help him look.He came back 5 minutes later with my bag.Amazing how quick he found it.I dont know what happened but I was cranky and he was rubbing me the wrong way, lol.

Oh well.Im home now and Im trying to rest.Inside my head is very swollen and its killing me but the meds got me groggy so I guess Im okay.Im just glad its over and the fear is gone.

It'san E ticket ride at your house! (for those of you whipersnapers who don't know what an E ticket is..When you went to Disney World or Disneyland in the early days, you bought a book of tickets for the rides. The baby rides or the train were A tickets and the higher the letter the better the ride. E tickets were the best!

Im good. The fam is already tired of helping, lol. The laundry pile is huge but Im not going there yet.Hubs ran out this morning without letting the dogs out so I had to force the kids to do it.Resting and staying still is frustrating as heck.My son did get me some yarn though,so Im crotcheting a scarf.

We take care of everyone for 20yrs and when we need some help they act like we are creeps.Explain that to me please.LOL!!
