I went to see my surgeon in Miami and he took off all the tape and yuckyness, and what do ya know all the prosthetic bone junk stayed where it belonged,no holes and even the teeny tiny prosthetic (fake) ear bones behind my new eardrum stuck and stayed!I said but Im still dizzy and deaf???He said Now we wait!3-6 months and we see what happens!Well I was kinda hoping for a small miracle, but waiting will work too, lol!Sooooo I guess its all good and the healing begins! He was very proud how well he hid the scars in my hair and shaved very small amounts where he cut.You can hardly tell!!I just couldnt wait to let you girls know how it went!!OHHH and he said that the fluid was fine, its just my body trying to fill in the spaces or something. He gave me some eardrops and said Just do not get your ear wet at all.I laughed too when he explained how thay put fake bone things in my head.Imagine that!I have implants,LOL!

Good news, Keyz - glad you're on your way to full recovery.

So I guess the most import thing is to trade showers for baths to keep your ear dry and to be very careful when you wash your hair. I guess you could go to the dollar store and get cotton to pack your outer ear with in case there are any accidental splashes? Now that I think about it, not sure how I would keep my ear dry. I have chronic ear infections, so my doctor told me to dry my ears with a hair dryer after my showers. So far, it has helped.

ohhhh...good news update; just since the attorney took over Thursday night...Friday evening the other ladies insurance faxed him that they accept liability. Sounds like he got their attention pdq!! LOL. She is so relieved to hear that little bit of good news.

Glad you got yourself a good lawyer, kay. That is encouraging to hear.

Thanks ladies! She seems in better spirits today. :)

Even though they have faxed him now accepting liability...is it ugly that the attorney has been told to still go after their juggler?? They called our bluff and waited needlessly letting her suffer until we felt forced to retain him for her, now they can deal with their senseless delay. Our period of being ...what's the words...patient and friendly...is gone...that window closed. I want blood (so to speak) for every day that they have made her endure pain and delayed her healing. I want blood for everyday that my grandsons don't have their Mommy as her normal playing with them self. Is that being ugly?? Once my claws are out, it's very hard to get me to retract them.

Keyzy...how was your first night bandage free?? Hoping you got some peaceful sleep and are feeling rested. :)
