StormFinch, positive thought on the way.
Sending restful thoughts your way MK!
Kay, tell that lawyer to go for everything he can get. Your poor daughter is going to have a long row to hoe even after the surgery (hubby is an old Ortho tech so I've heard alot) and she deserves every penny.
May I ad to the list ladies? Hubby (also Jeff) was just recently diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, which is part of the reason I've been MIA recently. It's got a good chance of remission with the new generation of drugs, but he's had to quit his job between the symptoms and numerous doctors' appointments. I can't work due to the double threat thyroid disorders so things are going to get a little tight. Granted, we've got his military retirement and VA disability checks, so we won't be destitute, but we could use some prayers and positive vibes if anyone cares to.![]()
Storm! My hugs and Prayers for you and hubby! Please keep us up on what's going on. It really does help to talk it out!
I did try melatonin in the past..I will give it another shot. Thanks for the reminder.
Mike didn't want me waiting for ever in hard chairs while he was in the clinics. And he doesn't want me in the heat any more then I need to be in it. He got home about 3pm.
He said the tat hurt like fire and he couldn't drink enough water to please them (the prostate will move if you don't have a full bladder to hold it in place) Finally he got down enough and they did a run thru. No radiation.
He starts real radiation on the 11th of Aug.
GOOD NEWS! They had him do blood tests today and it didn't show any spred of cancer!!
I feel for him on drinking the water. I had to have an ultrasound a few months and had to drink a lot of water then I had to wait for the tech for 45 minutesThe girl at the front desk said I could go but not to completely empty my bladder.....
I told her at my age and after 2 kids there was no stopping it once it started
I just kept praying that I didn't sneeze

Just popping in for a few, I'm trying to get some large throw pillows sewed up before the weekend. I'll write more later but wanted to say thank you to everyone.
MK, if melatonin doesn't do it for you, try valerian. Melatonin gave me nightmares, but I could take valerian without problems and it made me super sleepy. Anyone taking it who owns cats should watch it though. My cat at the time literally attacked my hand when I went to pet her after taking it. Turns out it's related to catnip! Oh, and smells like dirty gym socks, hold your nose!![]()
Fudgey..I can drink the water..but it would have been a disaster if I had to sit up after!
Yes we care!!! I am so sorry you are going through tough times right now (((((hugs))))) Prayers and thoughts of strength for you both.
I take an over the counter product called Sleep....it works really well.
That was very thoughtful of him!!!

Great news on the blood test![]()
Storm! I told Mike about this and he wanted to know if your hubby is a Viet Nam Vet? He needs to be seen by the V.A. if so. My ex BIL has something similar and he is being cared for by the V.A. and has full disability because of agent orange.
I've had several ultrasounds where they told me I had to have a full bladder. I'd go in all uncomfortable and squirm while in the waiting room, only to be told by the actual tech that I really didn't have to do that.Sometimes I don't think they bother to update their test instructions after they get new equipment.
