I didn't plan on quitting analoges, but was intriged by vaping. Got started six days ago, finished the last few cigs in the pack, and didn't open the next pack.

Why?

Because I like vaping more. I don't know if I will ever quit vaping (I certainly liked smoking), but time will tell.

Today, I made arrangements to give away the 12 packs of cigarettes that I I have left since I stopped using analoges six days ago.

It may not be a big deal for some, but it is for me (1.5 PAD for 35 years).

:)

Congratulations! Every cigarette NOT smoked is a victory.

I did the same exact thing! I tried out vaping to cut down on cigarettes and help with that hacking cough I had. I did not PLAN on giving up cigarettes, I had done that before and was not successful. It just sort of happened! Isn't it great? I am not one of the "YOU CANNOT SMOKE" nazi's, I can't remember the last one I had, but if I have one I don't beat myself up because I wasn't out to quit. It was just a side effect of vaping after all! The best side effect EVER :D

Congrats pcrdude! You did pretty much the same thing I did. I had tried vaping about 3 years ago but it didn't work for me at that time. Realized later the juice I tried was too low in nicotine so I was never satisfied. I dragged my old e-cig out of the drawer a few weeks ago, got some fresh juice with higher nicotine and tried it. Smoked 2 cigarettes that day, finished off the rest of the pack over a week's time and never opened my next pack. Gave away half a carton to a friend and kept a couple packs for emergencies. :) I'll probably never need them as I am now completely satisfied with something better and have no desire to go back.

I smoked 1.2 PAD for 31 years.

Similar experience here. I thought that if I could use vaping to at least cut my cigarette habit in half. Next thing you know, I'm only smoking one or two a day, and to be honest, I could probably go without those. It's just a mental thing for me right now. I think the key is to find a PV that works for you and at least a couple flavors that you can vape all day without getting sick of.

Congrats! Isn't it great! It has really saved me! I was at a point where I was just coughing like crazy, felt sickly, felt driven to smoke all the time. Now I am vaping--a lot! But the cough is significantly diminished, skin looks better, I feel better....I can actually feel the 'clean or pureness' of vaping as opposed to smoking....Yay for us!!
