Okay, just had to post this. Today, I have gone exactly one month longer than I ever have without smoking a pack to a pack and a half of cigarettes a day.
The last time I quit was cold turkey and I made it exactly 7 months before lighting up again and going right back to my normal daily habit.
Granted, I cannot say I am completely smoke free, I've had a cigarette here and there, no more than 2 in one day and months would go by in between. I have smoked one or two socially with friends, lit a couple when I was having some serious equipment problems, (charger ate my batteries) but short of maybe half a pack over the last 8 months, I just haven't been interested in them. I can smoke that one cigarette and happily go right back to vaping without the urge to light another one. Truthfully, even the ones I smoked weren't nearly as satisfying as they once were. They had no throat hit and tasted horrid,
in fact most were put out half smoked.
Anyway, I wanted to pass on my amazement at not being addicted to cigarettes anymore, at not having to light one, and then another, ad infinitum. A big thank you to everyone here on ECF for making that possible.
