I have been smoke free for 3 and half months but have carried around a pack of cigarettes in my purse. I never had one out of it but at first was a security blanket then turned into that I had the power and they didn't anymore. Well tonight I was looking for something in my purse and just thought it was time to throw them out. So ceremonially showed my husband the pack and threw it away. He said you don't want to have one for old time sake...lol. He knew I didn't want them and they are likely almost dust after sitting open in my purse for 3 months.:p

I hope and pray I will be like you some day, I still have at least 2 a day, sometimes 1 and have even gone sometimes 2 days with none. I think it's stress and my job that's the trigger, so I will have to do something about it very soon. I have plenty of Riva's and some great juices, and I'm sure the rest I'll have to deal with mentally and finally do something about it. Congrats again!

Congrats Lisa!!!

Would you believe I sold one carton and gave 5 away---but I did hang on to them for six months...you know, just in case.

Me too. I gave my last cigs away and I did it pack by pack. I walked through a park that many homeless people hang out in. I handed out packs of cigarettes to those that smoked and wanted a pack. The looks on their faces was priceless. Guess that is something that does not happen to them every day.

None of my friends smoked. Our daughter smokes, but not my old brand. Didn't know what to do with them, so decided to give them to people who I figured would want, use, and appreciate them.

Thank you all, after the first week I had my husband take 6 packs to work and give away to his black jack dealers but I kept that one. I am disabled and can't drive so didn't want to put extra pressure on myself thinking I COULDN'T have one. So I kept that one pack and it actually made me more determined not to have one, but it has done it's job and was time to put it to rest.

I wasn't that smart, found an open pack on my desk at about two and half months vaping. In a moment of brilliance, I took one out, went outside, found a lighter, and then touched flame to analog and inhaled deeply. What happened next is still a bit of a blur, but somewhere in there I remember gagging and thinking have my toenails come up yet???? The dog just sat there watching me like "that was a real smart move".

Gratz Lisa B! I did the same thing, kinda sorta. I had my last pack of smokes sitting on my pc desk at home (unopened) and would look at it once in a while. I don't know why I took a month to give it away but I think I was subconsciously telling myself that if I could resist it while it was right there in front of me then I was winning the battle. I eventually took the pack to work and gave it to a friend that smoked the same brand. I was one of the lucky ones that could quit smoking analogs right after the first vape.
