I want to mill down my Grand so I can make it a an LP how much do I take off?
I know I can send it in to Rob but from Canada it's more than 2 weeks in the mail
I was hoping to take it to a Friend who works at a machine shop but he's going to want an exact figure on how much to mill down
Does any one know the exact number to mil it down
thanks for any help :)

Don't know the measurement but here is a picture of one Rob did for me. It is just above the top of the 510

Give the machinist an o-ring and an atty to screw into the Reo. The atty should get firm, squeezing the o-ring, and the base of the atty should not bind up hard against the metal of the Reo. If the machinist can understand that, he should be able to screw it up for you - I mean - do it right for you ;)

ETA - of course, you must give the guy an atty with a base diameter bigger than the catch cup diameter (i.e. 15mm plus) for the instructions above to make sense.

You have to mill 3mm off from top to achieve an acceptable LP.
