Milled/non-milled RM2

I have a suspicion that the RM2 I got with my Grand last month is milled to fit an original Mini. Maybe I'm just being optimistic because I'll hace a second-hand Mini coming to me in the coming days.

If anybody has them handy, can you post a picture of a milled RM2 and a non-milled RM2 so I can compare them to mine?

If not, does anybody know the inner diameter of the original Mini's catch cup?

The juice well on a 14500 mini is .521

I sent a email to Robert today asking about getting the RM2 turned down to fit an original Mini and he said now they are all turned down to fit.

If yours has a small step around the bottom and shows a band of brass, it is probably one that has been turned to fit the original Mini.

Thanks Rob and cadman! It looks like the RM2 I bought last month with my Grand is already milled so it'll fir my incoming Mini.

Robert, will you still offer non-milled RM2s?

They're all milled, but not necessarily enough to fit the original mini. Measure to check.

Mine all look the same but only the milled one works on my 14500 mini. Well with the 510 to 510 adapter from REOs mods the regular rm2 works on the mini. I didn't like the look with the adapter

The milled one screws in more on the mini but it looks good and works on my Grand.

If you got it with your Grand last month, there's a good chance it has not been milled to fit the Mini unless you asked for it to be. They look the same....there's just a tiny bit of difference.....the ones milled to fit the Mini are milled down just a tiny bit more. I have both and I can't tell the difference just by looking at them. If you can measure the one you have, that's good....otherwise just wait and see if it'll screw in enough to make contact when you get the Mini. I actually doubt it'll fit.... If you got the RM2 last month from Rob (not the classifieds) and didn't specify Mini....it won't fit.

You may need to either buy another one that has been milled to fit the Mini (all of the current stock)....or maybe send it to Rob to re-mill it, or trade with someone who's getting a newer one and doesn't need it (someone buying a Grand.)
