This morning on Charlie Sykes show, a segment was about a guy who wrote him about an encounter he had at Miller Park. Basically, a guy used the e-cig at the Park, someone complained & he was banished to the smoker's cage.
(yes; I got the impression it was "it's legal & I'll do it where ever I want to" attitude that really caused the scene?)
I just called guest relations at the Park to see if this was in deed the case. Nice young guy said yes, it was and we had a really nice chat about them, how they don't fall under the ban, what they can smell like (mentioned the beer flavor LOL), yadda yadda. He even aknowledged that with the smoking ban, they were seeing them more and more at the park.
Then I had one of my ill timed wonderful moments that wasn't thought out.......
I said something to the effect that as he noted, they are becoming more popular and if it was possible to contact someone for a demonstration...a little mini tour to educate them in the non-effects of vaping & maybe education would help ease the ban......
Without hesitation, he gave me the name of the guy who made the decision to ban vaping and encouraged me to contact him.
In my defense - I was thinking nip it in the bud before the power to be came to hate hearing "we have another e-smoker in section 408....)
So...anyone interested in meeting the honcho at MP and see if we can convince them to welcome vapors with open arms?
I haven't called him to set anything up and believe me, I would gladly pass on the name to anyone who can more eliquently set up a meeting & I'll be more than happy to go along as 5th chair.....
