    If that's true, would it not make sense to keep spare cells in un-used condition, rather than including them in one's rotation?

    The “calendar aging” and damage, just from time, happens if you rotate or not. By rotating through all of them you can get more from your cells before they drop too far in performance. Otherwise they’re just aging and losing performance doing nothing.

    My gut tells me the opposite, but I need to think about how to prove it with a mathematical model, which is something I'm fairly rusty at.
