Having moved from my dearly departed (read: lost) eGo to a spanking new Hello 016 battery, I missed the elegant lines of the eGo's cone cover, given that I had no use for the poor-performing Hello "conimizers". (I use cartos almost exclusively now)

Well, I was dreaming about having a piece of aluminum CNC'd or getting a friend to 3D-print a small cone-shaped trim piece when I was gripped with a thought. Why not fab one up, rat-style? :)

I cut a couple of carto condoms into rings, and stacked them, stretching each around the next, around the atty fitting on the Hello 016. When I had the thickness built up to the edge, I gingerly cut at an angle all around with a very sharp razor blade, eventually using the metal rim of the battery holder and the atty connection as "stops" to give me the correct angle as I went around.

This is what I got! It's a little rough, owing to a non-judicious start of my cut, but I like it! It gives the Hello a little more of that "finished mod" look, rather than "hey look at this cool battery".

It also gave me an idea- if I took a few layers off, and cut a smaller miter on the rubber, I could use the rubber as a gasket to attach the eGo cone itself!

Either way, (and especially if you work neater than me ;)) I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I figure many folks have a handful of those rubber things to get rid of, anyhow.

Looks quite nice like this indeed. I put a small piece of silicone tubing on the hello batt to get the ego cone to 'screw' on. functions the same with the tighter draw, but that is where it stops. carto only sticks out a bit and is barely comfortable to vape, cone is too narrow so it isn't sleek, and the whole thing has to come off to charge. I'll probably never do that again. ever. your way is much sleeker.

That looks cool, but there is an alternative, if you like the looks of the cone. I salvaged a Hello cone by punching out just the dead atomizer. I use a silicone pen grip, cut to size, you don't want to restrict air flow, on the inside to keep it gripping any 510 attie or carto. I can use it on any 510 device like my Indulgence or 2aa box mod or 905.

And yes, you can use your idea to fit an TornEgo cone to the Hello 016 with the right size of silicone rings. It 'threads' its way down. It forms a good juice container, if it floods.

I used the cap to a bottle of DK juice. I punched out the inside childproof part. Then drilled a hole on the top of the cap alil wider then my atty. I painted it black with some spray paint and presto....a cool cone for my H-016. The cap fit perfectly and doesnt move around. It works just like the ego cone and gives my 016 the same draw as on my ego.It doest look too bad either... That is for a cone made from a cap.lol Im thinking of smoothing out some of the riges on the cap and trying to make it smooth...but im not sure if the plastic is thick enough.....i guess we'll see.
