Mini Copper slow to fire?

So I got a Copper for a backup PV and its vaping like a charm, wonderful plumes!. This is my first fully mechanical mod so maybe this is normal; but when I push down it takes about 2-4 seconds to fire up, with every battery I got. Any feedback would be good, want to make sure this is not abnormal.

It isn't normal for there to be such lag time. I'd check all the contact points to make sure there's nothing in there. My Omega is all mechanical and I've had to clean juice out of the contact when it started acting funny.
