Hi All,

I am a proud owner of several Provaris, and love the attention to detail on build quality and safety on that device. Recently, I took the plunge on a mechanical mod as I have got into RBAs and having one is handy in those efforts.

I purchased a Puresmoker Legacy Mini, and I have fallen in love with it. I like the form factor, and the apparent same of level attention paid to build quality as the Provari. The vent holes are also a great safety feature on the Legacy Mini.

I've found that I don't really miss the VV that much. I use a coil around 1.3ohms and that services me well through the life of the battery on a mech mod.

So, I would like to purchase another. I typically find one unit I really like and stock up on it (i.e. buy another Legacy Mini), but before I do that, I just wanted to check that I wasn't missing something.

I've seen the Natural, but don't feel the quality level is the same as the Legacy.

Are there other readily available and reasonably priced mechanical mod alteratives to the Legacy with a "mini" form factor that I should check out?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Mike

I'm unsure about this one not too many reviews on it yet KTS Telescopic Storm X6 APV Electronic Cigarette [KTSAPVKTX6] - $79.99 : .

That's a chi chi (as it's called on here) and a kit with stuff you should buy separate.

Wow I like those alot, especially the GUS. Is there a US vendor for them that has them available? I don't see anything except a couple of euro sites - most out of stock.

How does the quality between the GUS and Dingo compare? The both look very well made.

The GUS is from

by Gus

It's not limited run as far as I know so some will be up soon.

Both the gus and the dingo can also be bought from

Mechanical - Devices

when they have them.

As for what is better, I don't have a dingo but I like Gus stuff in general. I like the button. I know the dingo is well respected on here too.

The Poldiac comes in 18350, they were in stock a few days ago and should be back at some point.

The "Poldiac" - MMVapors

And here is a U.S. vendor list for the EA

Thanks very much dBm0 - that does look pretty slick! I really like it.

Just to be sure - how long has that preorder page said 6-8 weeks for? Do you feel its realistically going to be available soon?

Any feedback from the people making it that would lead us to belive it's shipping soon?

Thanks in advance.

I think we are about 10 weeks into the 6-8 now :) They are machining bodies right now.

Latest update today:

"Though we have missed our target goal on the ELA, we are almost in full production on it. As mentioned earlier this week, we are currently proving out the programs by running a couple of each part (there are 15 parts that need to be machined on each ELA), just to make sure everything is as designed and of course, we've added a few tweaks along the way to insure you have a perfect functioning product. My goal was to be running the main run of bodies by weeks end and we are still on schedule for that. I'll post up a video of them being made for your viewing pleasure once we start running the main batch here in a day or two."

Any 18650 mod will be awsome...

I Love my Caravela with the 18350 tube. You MAY find one in the classifieds if you dont blink, but they will hurt the wallet.

If you want Small and are interested in a Genisis style tank.
Have a look at the iHybrid. It's on the pricey side if you are counting dollars, but since it comes with the Geni-tank, you can kinda justify it.

and an iHybrid is just a few mm longer than my Caravela with a AGA-T.... In either 18350 or 18560 lengths respectively.

Yep, :thumb: Bunch of us patiently waiting :toast: And I for one won't rush Dave and his crew. Take your time, this will be worth the wait.

lol...yeah, chi-you's and caravelas, if you have the opportunity to buy at normal price, buy it. Even if you don't like it (which would be pretty much unheard of) you can flip it for some serious dough or pretty much your pick of almost anything else you want.

I just tried to list stuff that is relatively easy to attain on a monthly basis. There is also some cool stuff you have to scour other forums for, get on a list or pay though the nose in the classies.

There is the adam too

Nice! Thanks for all for the great advice. One things for sure - it's a great little beater device, but it looks like I will end up owning only one Legacy.

My perception is that the ELA will be a bit longer (maybe 3-5 cm) than the other 18350 devices that have been shown. Much closer to a Provari Mini. I'm basing that off of a rough visual comparison in relation to the length of the 510 atomizer body. Does that sound correct?

One thing I liked was the reduced size of the 18350 mech mods, so while not a deal breaker, it's something for me to think about.

Along those lines, from the pool of:

GG Stealth
Adam 18350
Dingo
GUS G22 / X 18350
GP PAPS X 18350
Precise ELA
chi_you 18350

...how do the sizes compare?

Also, what is the exact deal with the chi_you? I see a coop on vaporwall forums that I missed and vaperev who seems to have been selling them retail but has since sold out. Has anyone ever seen them become available again on the site or were they a one shot deal for vaperev's run?

I really appreciate you all taking the time to help me out and give recommendations.

As for the Chi You, judging by what they get in trade, they are not so easy to get.

Igetcha69 has reviews on a some of those, so you can get up close and personal.

The Precise ELA and the Dingoo are going to be a bit larger (same with a Poldiac, though its not mentioned in your list :) ) -- all the others in 18350 mode will be very comparable to your Legacy Mini. Since all the others are either mechanicals with a small button, or a bottom trigger, they are all just a smidge larger than the 18350 itself. The Precise ELA is a bit bigger, because it has the adjustable airflow design at the adapter side, and both the Dingoo and the Poldiac are larger because their button assembly is a separate part from the battery tube, as opposed to integrated like the EA, 69, ADAM and the GG models.
