Mini Noob - Slidey Door?

Hey all,

New to REOs, got our first just yesterday (green/silver mini), my wife's main vape now. She loves the mini overall, she just doesn't like how easy it is to slide the door, and I agree. Is there any way to make it harder to slide? Stronger magnets??

I put a small rubberband or two around the battery. That completely stops the door from sliding around. I picked up the rubberbands at Walgreens. I can't take credit for the idea...got it from someone here, but can't remember who. Works great, though.

Another thing is to make a little pull tab on the battery by wrapping some electrical tape around it.

And you can also try this: bend or twist the door just a hair. Do this carefully and at your own risk, it doesn't take much. I haven't heard of anyone damaging their door this way, but I'm sure there is always a first time.

I happen to like the slidey nature of my doors, so I leave them as they come.

I've read that a strip of tape at the bottom edge of the mod is enough to keep the door from sliding too easily.

I put a small strip of craft felt behind the battery and the bottle. It holds the battery & bottle tighter against the door and keeps the door from sliding.

I use small pony tail rubber bands around the battery which dissipates rattle and makes it easier for the door to stay in place.

I put a small strip of electrical tape at the bottom inside of the door and it holds it nice and tight..

Personally, don't have a problem with the door at all. I have seen people put electrical tape around their batteries. Even seen one person put a small strip of super glue on the bottom of the door. But, I think that just helps with the door rattling that some people have reported.

with regular use and irregular cleaning a little bit of necessary gunk will build up in the rails it slides on . I have never bent my door and mine never slides around when i don't want it to. also the electrical tape around the batt helps.

also rob has posted the magnets he uses in the measurements parts and tech sticky. you could get some of those and put a couple on the bottom and an extra one on the top, that door would NEVER move, but do so at your own risk also

Yeah, I get that a lot. I'm a fan, but I stopped wearing a trenchcoat for exactly that reason.
