Hi
Ive been vaping for about a month now and recently got a mini nova, been using it for about a week now no leaks gurgles or issues and am enjoying using it.
The other night I changed the coil from the supplied 2.4 ohm to the 2.8 ohm (came with the tank) version that was included to see what it was like and that's when my problems started.
For some reason the thing stared gurgling and when I unscrewed it from my eGo-C Twist I noticed that it had flooded the pin are with juice, this is something Ive never had with the 2.4 ohm coil. It looks like the juice was coming out the hole in the center of the screw thread so I cleaned up the battery and tank and ensured that all pieces were nice and snug and not ever tight and refilled.
It started out great but after a while it started gurgling again and when I checked the pin area again there was juice there so for a second time I cleaned the tank and battery and this time I tried the 1.8 ohm (came with tank) coil to see it that made a difference.
This started out great and appeared to be fine so I filled the tank to just under 2ml and went to bed leaving the eGo standing upright like I normally do. In the morning I noticed that the tank was down to just under 1ml and upon checking it had filled the battery pin area up with juice again and juice had ran down the side of the battery.
As I was running late for work I did a quick wash and refill and put the 2.4 ohm head back in, all though the day (yesterday) had no gurgling issues and when I checked for leaking there wasn't any, all was perfect again.
When I got home I decided to have a go at rebuilding the 2.8 head (4x 1mm silica wick + resistance wire) after about 20 tries I got the hang of it and it produced great / better results. After about 10min though the same leaking / gurgling issues. I rebuilt the 1.8 ohm head and it also started out great / better but the same happened there. So I went back to the 2.4 ohm head and zero issues.
Does anyone have any idea why 2 out of 3 supplied heads would leak like this, could it be a defect with these 2?
Its got to the point where the 2.4 needs rebuilding as its been used a lot but I'm a little apprehensive to do so now, if I do and have zero issues with it this must indicate there's a issue with the other two heads surly?
Looking forward to any assistance given
