So i just changed from a silica wick and changed to cotton! It took about like 2 minutes and it is amazing now! Flavors better and more vapor. The only bad part about the coil i had was the actual coil was bent and was poorly made. I soon plan to rebuild the coil! This coil currently is 2.3 Ohms. I was wondering what g of kanthal wire i would need to rebuild this. Im vaping on a Itaste mvp 2 at 4 Volts.

TL;DR : What g of kanthal wire would i need to rebuild this

Anywhere between 28 and 32 works fine - the number of coils will determine the resistance, and you can check that on your MVP. I've had a hard time getting to 2.0 with 30 gauge, I settle for 1.5-ish with 7-8 wraps, which is just about the limit as far as the coil fitting in the head. I went back and got the first coil I rebuilt before having an ohm checker, it came up as 1.3, lol. Still fired, though!

Don't worry if you can't get a 2.0+ ohm rebuild first couple of tries - the MVP can dial in on the right power for a lower resistance coil that you will find satisfying - in fact, you may find like I did you like the lower resistance.

One of the important things is getting the diameter of the coil right - I found that the test probe on my multimeter is just about the right size for the job, so I use that, and a lot of people use a specific size of drill bit or screwdriver handle.

Watch some of the vids on youtube, and some of the articles posted here, and have fun!
