So I just starting using my mini protank 2 today and I'm guessing the coils it came with are 2.5 ohms. I'm not getting much flavor on the vape, the vapor production is there, but not much throat hit. I'm using 18mg juice. I have both flavor wicks in and I'm not getting any burnt taste.

Once I get my VV ego batteries should I experience better taste and throat hit?

Also I want to rebuild my coils, should I order from this site?

Well, flavour and throat hit are two distinct aspects of your experience. The Protank has an airy draw, which leads a lot of people to experience what they describe as "less taste". In lieu of a VV device, plugging the air-holes on the base of the tank can help with this.

With a VV device, turning up the voltage will result in a warmer vape, which can help bring out a more complex flavour profile - and oftentimes a better throat hit.

Generally though, more nicotine = more throat hit.

Hope this helps

Yes, if your present Egos battery is genuine Joyetech in design, it is regulated to 3.3v rather low for a 2.5ohm head.
A good operational estimate is 2v above ohms rating.
2.5 ohm - 4.5 volts
Even 1.5ohm would work well around 3.5v, but NOT recommended on an ego battery.

Once in hand and charged, try your VV around 3.8 and slowly increase, taking several vapes in each step until you notice a harshness. Back down just a bit and you should be good to go.
