If you vape juices that are known to crack plastic tanks go with the Protank Mini 2 since it is glass.

If you want to use your own drip tips go with the Protank Mini 2.

That's basically what it comes down to. They both use the same replaceable heads and will likely provide a similar vape experience.

Agreed.

Also, if you do NOT use juices that will crack your tank and you don't mind not having a replaceable tip, I would go with the EVOD because it - 1. looks slick 2. is very light. If you use a MPT2 on an eGo-style battery you're going to notice that is very, very top heavy.

Agreed - glass tanks are heavy, esp. on an eGo - stick with EVODs for the most part. Save the glass for tank-cracking juices. I tend to go with 4 to 1 (4 evods for every protank.)

They are supposed to have a removable drip tip: protank2. mini protank2. kanger protank

I'm good with the drip tip on the Kangers, but nice to see the Pyrex glass is not glued in place and can be replaced. Of course at this time no one carries the glass replacements.

in that picture it looks like the Tip has the center piece on it, so how could you just put on another tip? bet they will come out with tips for them later but doesn't look like you be able to just use any tip.

I heard a newer Mini II will come out with the removable drip tip. You are right the stem is connected to the tip.

Well, I am glad I didn't order one after all,Me and another member was just talking about the mini pro tank 2 in a post of mine, he thought the tip was changeable, I do not care for the stainless steel tip on my Mini pro tank, i like the plastic ones lot more, so does the wife.

The ProTank Mini2 is NOT YET shipping with a removeable dripi tip!!
Kanger delayed that final version by up to a couple months, and right now they are shipping orders for Protank2Mini that does have the removeable glass, but has a fixed driptip.
Just so ya know!

I use and like all of these on EGO batteries:
EVOD
MiniProTank
T3 Mini

I don't really find the MiniPT top-heavy on an EGO...a full sized ProTank, yeah - that looks goofy to me.
But the Mini, I think looks slick. I don't have any small batteries though - they're all 1000+ mah.
Oh, wait - I do have a couple little 350's, but I haven't put a MPT on them...

on a side note, i am getting totally confused about all the different coils and bases you must have for the T2, T3, MT3, MT3S, protank, miniprotank, protank 2, miniprotank 2.... yada yada yada. i'm so confused.GIF

I'm curios as to why you and your wife don't like the steel tip on the Mini. Is it a feel or taste thing? I want the new Mini II bad, but will wait if the old tips were troublesome.

speaking for myself, its a feel thing. Metal tips conduct heat more so the tip will be cold or hot and its irritating. Must have to do with temp sensitivity of teeth, not everyone has that.

Other thing is metal drip tip is just harder. When driving or taking a draw walking or similar, the metal bumping into your teeth is more noticible, louder, more sense that a big bump might actually hurt. Stick a metal tip on any device if you have one, if you hate it -- like me -- you wanna wait for the MTP2 with replaceable drip tip.

I'd even go so far as to say if Kanger sold drip tips exactly what's on the evod, I'll buy a bunch. not only do I prefer plastic to metal or even ceramic, I like the short, non-phallic shape of the evod drip tip.

I agree the Evod drip tip feels good and would be nice on the Mini II.
