I have Kanger PT2 Mini and Uni Mini didn't have any issues with them. Completely trouble-free. Love them. I use EGO battery on 4V and coils (original I hope:)) 2,4 or 2.5 Ohm. But I don't use any tank aggressive e - liquids.
My guess will be - are you sure you got PT2 not PT2 style from 3-rd company? Somehow you got pretty easy second tank from shop for just free not for replacement. If tank is original and not working they can get replacement from Kanger and do not waste money it all.

For any tank like the ProTank, EVOD and any MT3 tank, get the high grade coils, that by itself will stop the gurgling your getting. Had the same problem with my EVOD, so I bought the more expensive coils, better quality, that stopped the problem.
I am using a PT coil from FT, I even had to grind down the center air chimney so it would fit with a diamond cutoff wheel, but with the cotton flavor wick it runs flawlessly...I'm serious...just need's a "tuneup"

Might be pulling too hard while hitting it. I started out on carto tanks and was able to pull very hard on them. Switched to protank a and I think from pulling so hard. It sucked too much liquid in to the chamber where the coil was. Causing flooding and gurgling. Try hitting it a little softer. Also. The tank needs to be atleast half full. Something about the pressure inside the tank

The only tank that I use is my UD AGA T2 genny, outside of that, I do not bother with tanks. My favorite atty though is my IGO W4. The only problem with the ProTanks lately is that Kanger is cutting corner on their coils. They used to be nice coils, any more they are garbage. Their tanks are good quality, it is just their coils, they suck any more. Better off with the SMOK replacement coils for anything from Kanger. BUT, the i30s are a nice tank, very good for the price on a tank.

I had a love/hate relationship with the pro tanks (pro tank 3).. When set up and working well, I loved them. No leaks, no flooding, good solid hits...but. If seal on coil not dry or coil screwed into base too tight or too loose...or base screwed onto tank too tight or too lose...or they take a jolt...or experience big temperature fluctuation (get too cold walking to car, then hot from dragging on it.... They start to leech fluid into the air tube...fast! Others have had better luck, and I have not experimented with the suggestions to be honest, but something like this, to me should work out of the box. I honestly had the best luck with the ce4 replaceable coil clearomizers...but the weak vape, and hard draw was a pain for me.

I have just moved into true RBA/Genesis types, and have had better luck, but not all RBA are the same, and there is a learning curve to find the sweet spot where you get a good hit, no leaks and full flavor.

At the end of the day, there really is no "perfect atomizer" system...yet.... I will admit, they are getting closer every day compared to what I started on back in 2009 (joytech 510/filling the foam tips with Johnson creek juice...weak vape, and constant flooding...to dripping into the 510... To early clearos on a ego battery, to the modern VV/VW mod and RBA type systems). In any case, be patient, stick with it and be willing to throw a few $ here and there to try new things

You know, I don't think I ever tried just replacing the flavor wick with a strip of cotton!!
I do NOT enjoy rebuilding coils, but even I wouldn't mind doing this - it's a 30 second tweak.
Gonna try it later today, thanks!

All of the protank coils can use a very simple "tuneup"

The silica wick over the coil wick sometimes gets loose or is too tight and either results in dry hits or gurgling

A very easy process to fix it is available
You need some organic cotton and a pair of nail clippers

1. Remove the chimney and rubber cap
2. Remove the silica wick over the coil (leave the wick inside the coil)
3. Take a tiny strip of cotton roll it into a string the same width as the coil
4. Lay across the coil
5. Replace the chimney and cap catching the cotton under it
6. Snip the extra off with nail clippers
7. Reassemble, let it sit for a few seconds to wick the juice into the cotton
8. Vape Yo Face Off!!! :D

When my PV gets flipped around and upside down, I get some leakage. My clearomizers are all bottom coils. I take the clearomizer off the battery, turn it upside down and remove the bottom atomizer and cover. I hold the main body of the clearomizer up high in the upside down position and blow through the drip tip really hard. I clears out any leaked liquid. I also just remove the drip tip and blow hard through that to remove and liquid vapor.

I have the little alcohol prep-pads and I wipe it down when needing. I guess clearomizer end caps aren't perfect.

Hope helps,
Jere

I've had a mini pt2 for about 2 weeks now, and it was horrible originally. I am typically a dropper but wanted to try it out. I noticed the stock heads were horribly inconsistent. Ended up recoiling and rewicking it with cotton and now it works flawlessly. No problems since then. Definitely try rewicking it with cotton, it will change the experience completely.

It was the same for me here up to a couple months ago; I can't fiddle with the grommet and the tiny coil, but the top wick! THAT I was able to change!; I did bust 1 coil so far though because the top wick was gunked up and stuck to it, so maybe do a soak first in hot water and remove top wick carefully.

A few of the coils have have used actually didn't come with those top flavor wicks;

And you do TASTE the cotton; but unlike the silica or steel mesh, the cotton TASTES GREAT! I'd eat stuff that tasted like that.

I've been using my MPT2 now for 12 days on the same coil, change my flavor usually daily. I haven't had any of the issues you've mentioned and hope never to suffer from them. I love my MPT2 enough that I WILL be buying a second one, I already have a replacement tank on the way for the time WHEN (being realistic, not if) it ends up getting broken.

The flavor and hit from the protank is great, but having to screw around with wrapping my own coils or modifying the coils I can buy is not worth the effort to me. The coils I've been using are Kanger coils. I'm going to try some of the coils that were linked above.

I did just get a iTaste mvp2 with a iClear 30 tank. We'll see how that goes.

Soylent Green is People........
Not sure, Havw 2 Kanger PT II Minis......Luv them better than their Big Sister.
Kanger PT are finicky, the coils need to be seated right, the coils also.
They love upright....
Hard to think you got a couple of duds......
May also be the VG ratio of the juice.....dry hits, thicker juice, to many flavor wicks...low juice level...
Sorry not much help....
