Hi guys. I know there are lots of threads about microcoils and how to build them but i just want to know the specifics. I have a smoktech emax vv/vw battery with a protank 2 mini. I want to get as much vapor as i can cause it satisfies me. I've heard microcoils perform better than standard coils on vapor production. I have 0,25 gauge kanthal and rebuild coils myself. So i wanted to ask more advanced vapers out there how do i build a MC on a mini pt2? How many wraps can i aim for and do microcoils have to be a little smaller (diameter) than standard ones? Do i have to make the wraps touch each other?
her?

The "micro" in Micro coils specifies the diameter of the manfrel used to build a coil. To build a micro coil you would take whatever wire you have and wrap 8 or more wraps on a 1/6" or smaller Mandrel. There you have a Micro Coil. The coils can touch or not, as contact is a classification within the sizing catagory, ie, micro, macro, nano ect.

On your Mini PT2 I suggest, Less than 8 watts...... I do my backup atty a Mini PT3, which is dual coil, as a single 1.8-2ohm vertical coil wrapped on a 2mm mandrel with 29 or 30 awg wire. For get about chasing any clouds with a Protank. You will NEVER get much more cloud than you are getting NOW. About all you will really be changing is flavor.

The diameter mainly affects the wicking of juice. It;s like a hose or a straw, the bigger the hole the more liquid can go through at the same time.. now don't forget the coil is getting hot and boiling off the fluid IN the coil. Too small a id the juice in the coil burns off, too big an ID the coil may flood and be too cold.
Do a member search on user StateOfFlux, he has some blogs you should read to held understand the tech stuff.
