Have you tested out the resistance of the heads?

I'm not too familiar with the twists, but perhaps it's limited in its output? Try turning the voltage down?

Checked that the centre pin is making contact?

It's say right on the box that it's made for Ego. Has an ego cap to hide the threads. So it should work. There's just nothing more I can do to make it work. Fill tank - check. Place in atomizer head - check. Screw on bottom cap - check. Attach to Ego - check. Push button - nothing. Nada. Zilch. Not an ounce of heat, crackle or pop.

Try it without the cap?

Without a resistance check, I'm pulling solutions out of the air.

If it fires your other juice delivery devices, I'd check the centre pin of the tank/ heads.

All of my other juice delivery devices work just fine. I played with the voltage, didn't change a thing. Atomizer heads are SR/HR basically and using on a Twist. If I don't put the cap on the juice will leak out. I tried just putting the connections together without the cap and still nothing. Really it's so strange and such a simple set up, figuring out why it's not working is tough.

A friend of mine was at VapeCan on Friday, and bought 2 mini protanks, then filled one with a sample liquid it started to leak right away and would not fire, problem was the coil head had not been installed......

I know this is not your case Op, just had to mention it.

Do u have a multimeter to check the resistance of the coils?

And possibly tighten protank mini snugly then back off a 1/4 turn and try to fire, if nothing untighten another 1/4 turn etc. this has happened to me. My tank had to be fairly loose to work right on my Vamo.

Yes also the pin on ego could be sitting a bit low. Try and pry it up a bit.

If none of this works ans u can't measure the coil, I suggest u get new coils. Sometimes they make bad batches, I've had that happen as well. GL.

I may be off base here but......

When I got my ProTank it didnt fire. Went through everything like you did. Turns out, I didnt screw in the coil tight enough and it wasnt sitting as low as it should to connect with the battery.

Make sure the coil is turned into the bottom cap nice and tight. You have to give it a nice hard turn. You may also have to take a screw driver and give the coil battery connection a counter clockwise twist.

Look at the bottom to see where that little pin is sitting. I have a feeling it's just a little too sunken in to connect with the battery and you either have to tighten it by hand or adjust with a screwdriver.

: )

I'm at work so can't try them all but did quickly with one, followed your suggestion with one coil and it worked! Thanks bigcity :). I thought I was tightening it well enough but obviously it takes a bit more. Sometimes over tightening causes problems on some gear so I didn't want to force it, but obviously it's necessary in this case. Will try the others later tonight.

Cheers!

GREAT :)

I dont think you can break anything if you ram the coil in by hand. Sometimes it just needs a push and twist at the same time. Or if that doesnt work, you can try the screwdriver trick (counter clockwise turn until flush). (I saw that on YouTube somewhere?).

I think all ProTanks are like this. They are just a little stiff at the start and because we are afraid to "over tighten", its easy to have something like this happen.
I know when I put mine in, it felt like it was in but it wasnt.

Same goes for ViviNova tanks as they have the same style bottom threading pin thingy and,,,, some of them are out too far and can easily cause the pushed in battery problem on twists/spinners. (I speak from experience).

Cheers

Ahhhhh! These tanks are nothing but a pain in the ...., which is too bad cause I do like them when they work. Every time I take it off to fill, I have to fiddle and fiddle until I can get it to fire again once back on. Pulling up center pin, trying to put on so tight I can't get it off. Just now I tried everything with two different batteries and it's not firing. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Also when filling it leaks out of the tip - I've watched vids of people holding the tank upside down no problem, but when I do it the juice just leaks out??

You're still not screwing on the heads tight enough into the base. That along with the fact that your centre post is sinking, is causing all your grief. That's my opinion on that..

The juice that you see leaking out, is actually a combination of the condensation and a bit of juice from the inside of the tube that leads from the coil to the drip tip. I always flip my regular protank and similar bcc's into a tissue because there's usually a drop or two that makes it way to the tip when flipped over.

Don't get frustrated and give up on them, because they are among one of the best delivery systems out there, unless you're planning on going Gennies and rebuildables.. :)

Yes retired1 I pull the pins up, which is something I have to do every time I put the tank back on, and even then it won't always make contact. Plus why should I have to do that every time?

Right now I'm very frustrated, two batts and neither one will fire after pulling up pins and screwing the damn thing as tight as possible. The last couple of times I put the tank back on the batt it would fire, not fire, fire, not fire. It's fiddly and it shouldn't be. Maybe I got a bad one...

I would think your battery centre post is more to blame than the mini Pro-Tank. I used to get really frustrated with my ego batts back in the day too, because of that darned centre post issue.

Oh! Watch this video on the mini-Protank, roughly around the 2:10 mark. He makes reference to the drop or two of liquid that falls out when you flip it over. ;)
