mini reo spring

have to replace my spring on my mini reo. wondering what tool i should use so i dont strip it.

What does the screw head look like? If it is the allen head: The allen head screw on the bottom of the Grand and Mini is a .050 size. That is the size wrench you will need if taking out the screw to replace the spring.

It would be either a phillips head or a allen. The phillips are the newer REO's

See the bottom of the one top right? That is the allen screw.

well no go at home depot. they sent to radio shack, should of known better. harbor freight was the place. thanks for the suggestion. never knew a semi collapsed spring could affect performance so much. mini performing like it should know. thanks to all for the awesome help
