Been using mini tanks about 3 weeks now, have 4 of them and wash them out in hot water after about 4 uses each, let them dry 24 hours and then use them again. I noticed that after each wash the draw on them was tighter and tighter, requiring a harder and longer draw to get as much vapor and taste then when they were new. So I followed some suggestions I saw here and using a G6 manual battery dry burned them after letting them dry for about 6-7 seconds, doing that twice for each tank and now they seem as good as new, with a much easier draw. I had been afraid to do that, thinking I'd burn out the coils (or burn the wicks) by dry burning, but I am definitely going to do that after each washing now. All 4 tanks seem just fine after about 3 weeks so I don't know how long they will last, but they seem quite durable.

With each dry burn, even after allowing them to dry for well over 24 hours, I see vapor coming off the wicks so they must not be completely dry even after 2 days (in one case) or I am burning off old juice that just won't rinse out. Either way it seems dry burning is a must for mini tanks.

It could be a little water left in the wick, but more likely it the gunk burning off. There's a little cap inside on the coil post you can take off. Do it on a dead one so you can see what I'm talking about without scraping a good tank. I used a eyeglass screw driver to pop it off, be careful though because the wicks are right under it.

Welcome devil495. I was having the same issue and someone here told me about dry burning and then it was great! Just like new. I have one juice I can only run one tank filling before it needs washing out.

Rumor has it that denture checking tablets work well to clean them. Haven't tried it yet but just bought some today to try out.
