I really want them to work for me because they are so freakin simple, but I've given up...after getting 6 heads nowhere near the resistance they were supposed to be and all preformed like crap. I've tweaked, rebuilt, tinkered with mediocre results. I thought waiting for the the first few revisions to work their way thru would help, but no. After making my own sick and coil I got better performance but all I taste is plastic. No thanks.

It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I hate to say it but the eGo-T was much easier.

I stayed away from the ego t, but a couple weeks back one of the guys at my local vape shop gave me an ego c atty to try...didnt quite work out for me. Started leaking on day 2. Man, I really wish these things would just work. Im just tired of filling cartos.

I'm also not a fan of the vivi nova. It doesn't give me the full taste and cooks the juice when you get halfway done with the tank. I drip now and getting into RBAs

Yea ive been using cartos and dripping since i started vaping, and about 3-4 months ago started getting into rebuildables. I really love dripping on an RBA the most so far. havent bought any genesis style attys yet but have tried a few and really liked em. I dont think ill ever buy a disposable atty again now that i have a few rebuildable drippers and know how to make them preform the way i like.

I've been happy with Vivi Novas and Vivi Minis and had no problem with anything except they are e-juice hogs (but I DIY much of what I vape, so extra expense is trivial).

Normally, I screw these into eGo T batteries with their regulated 3.2 volt output. I also am certain I'm using genuine Vivi Novas and Minis. Forgeries are common, so beware, especially if the price is too good to believe!

Just for grins, I've been vaping a Vivi Nova (and a few days ago, a Vivi Mini) on a LavaTube. LavaTubes allow you to adjust the voltage in 0.1 volt intervals between 3.0 and 6.0 volts. You can also get a readout of the resistance of your atty, carto or clearo.

While using a very clear e-juice (VaporRenu menthol, double shot, 80% PG / 20% VG and 18 mg./ml.), I've discovered that Vivi whatevers are quite sensitive to higher voltages. Specifically, I get poor draw and flavor, plus a hint of burnt taste, when the resistance is 2.4-2.5 ohms and the voltage is more than 3.7 volts, and when the resistance is 2.9-3.0 ohms and the voltage is more than 4.0 volts. In any case, if I go higher than about 4.5 volts, the vapor is nearly to totally unvapable.

Clearly Vivi devices are very voltage-sensitive. And I suspect that if you're running thicker (more than 20% VG), darker (darker than a very light beer) and/or cloudy e-juice, you're going to have troubles unless you keep that voltage down. Running the LR (1.8 ohm heads) on non-eGo batteries, which typically crank out 3.7 volts, would be inadvisable, IMO. Same goes for mechanical mods, like Reos, which run 3.7 volt batteries.

I have to agree with you guys on the mini nova. Don't like em at all. However, I do have the regular size that I use on my VAMO but I use the variable power setting instead of the variable voltage. As stated earlier, higher voltages yield a burnt taste especially when the tank is half empty but I think the way the VAMO handles the adjustable power works much better with the Nova. I have a 1.8 ohm head and at 7 watts in RMS mode it seems to be working well.

Love my VVN rebuild with cotton batten and 7/8 (2.6ohm) coil @4.5Vfor my high PG DIY eliquids (>50% PG), zero dry hit and zero flooding with "dip and twirl," FTV was good (not as good as dripping of course). As much as I love my VVN, I still prefer to drip my Bobas and high VG eliquids using my PhoenixRBA (RIP) or T3 (modded as dripping atty)...

If you're a fan of clearos then you might want to wait for the release of mini T3s which would solve the issue with the cooler vape. :2c:
