Agree with Yinzer, why not get one of each and see whiy you prefer? That's the bottom line - what I prefer may not be what you prefer!

Rebuilding any but the original T3 (i.e. the T3S) is about the same. I don't think it's a matter of quality, but of design. The original T3 was a bit more of a hassle.

And I've found that replacing the flavor wicks after cleaning and dry burn takes care of the leaking - I use a strand of cotton yarn, trimmed to fit. Results vary about taking out one of them. Some, like Freya, report good luck. Others say it makes them leak. May depend on juice viscosity, vaping technique and other variables.

Any container of liquid, with a hole in it, is going to have some issues with temp changes. As the liquid expands, it's going to pressurize the vial. Bottom coils may have more of a problem with that, since the hole is at the bottom! I haven't found it to be a problem, just unmount it from the battery, upend, and blow gently through from the connection end to clear it. (Into a suitable vaper towel, of course!)

IME, that mostly depends on the juice. I do find that dark or thick juices do tend to gunk the bc devices a bit quicker than on top coils. But they're easy to clean and dry burn, or just replace. When they get to actually needing a recoil, I just clean them and set aside until I have enough to make it worthwhile to rewind a few. Too much trouble to get everything out for just one

What's the PG/VG ratio on your juices, Yinzer. Seems like that can affect coil working life. VG is thicker, and more VG might gunk more quickly.

I seldom have any leaks or gurgles with my T3 devices. Most of my juice is 80/20, so fairly thin. And usually store them upright. Have read some have good results storing them upside down as well, but IME I always got a couple drops out the tip if left more than a couple of days that way. YMMV of course!
