The center pin probably needs to be adjusted a bit. It's not touching the battery more than likely. I believe novas can be adjusted down by unscrewing the post just a bit

i unscrewed it a few times but no luck... when i press the button to fire it just blinks a few times

It is possible that the coil isn't screwed down tight. Always a good idea to take a new viva nova apart before filling to be sure it is put together correctly at the "factory".

so just take the whole thing apart and then screw everything back together firmly? if this is the case, will it hurt that i put the juice in already?

Syringe the juice out if you can...otherwise remove the nozzle on your bottle and simply poor the juice back into it.

The most likely culprit is that the coil isnt secured into the base. So take a paper towel for some traction and see if you can tighten it.

I've had this happen a few times. When i turn the top cap off for refilling sometimes it grabs onto the silicone layer and turns the coil and thus disconnects it. I remedied this by giving the inner top cap a whack or two with a small hammer I have.

Pop the top off your bottle, take the top off the Vivi, and carefully pour it.

Possible, too, that the center pin on the battery is pushed in a tad. Use a small screwdriver, a straightened paper clip, or very small tweezers to gently rock it side to side to move it up just a hair. Maybe two hairs.

well, i took it apart and changed from the 1.8 ohm head to the 2.4... it works now, but ive never had a problem with the 1.8 ohm in the past. i thought perhaps the resistance was too low for the cut off on my ego, but like i said ive used them before with no problem. but at least its working with the 2.4 ohm head... thanks for the help guys

It would be possible to tighten it with the juice in it but would be better to just pour the juice back into the bottle. I always take mine apart and put them back together correctly before I fill them the first time to try to avoid what you are going through now. Good luck and vape on.

edit: Looks like you discovered the problem. Great !!!!!!

I am just curious if the Mini Vivi Nova you have is Vision brand or Smoketech brand. You can tell by looking at the heads:

The one on the Left with the flat top is the Vision brand. The one on the right with the pointy top is the Smoktech brand.

I am merely curious from a quality tracking perspective.

Thanks. I am kind of mentally tracking issues with these. Both brands calling them the same thing can cause some confusion as to the quality of each brand. Many people don't even realize that there are two major players making the similar products with the same product name.

You might have a short in the coil head of the vivi if your battery light is blinking.
+1

If you push the button and it blinks (I believe 3 times?), the battery is sensing a short circuit or some other problem. If you are the tinkering type, try to inspect and adjust the coil wire to fix this. If not, throw the head away a buy a new one.

I do have one warning that is from my experience, which I know is not typical, that sometimes a certain battery will not fire certain atomizer heads. I have a genuine Joyetech Ego battery that will fire everything except rebuilt coils. My knockoff Ego, Vision Spinner, a friends Joye Ego Twist, and my local shop's Joye Ego-T will fire all of my rebuilt coils just fine. My Joye Ego is just picky for whatever reason

no problem. all of the others that i have gotten in the past were from smoktech, ive had hardly any problems, and i got the 1.8 ohm head working fine now after reassembling it. all of the problems i did have were easy fixes that required no additional purchase or a waste of a part
