Vivi Mini Nova not working :(

Hey Everyone,

Just taken delivery of my new kit (Joye 1000Mah passtrough, Vivi Nova Mini and juice)

However the Vivi Nova Mini isn't firing. I thought it was the battery so I stuck it on passtrough and still no luck, I put on a 510 Carto and it works fine. I'm at a lost here. I'm pretty new to this so I'm not sure if I've done anything wrong?

It doesn't work on the other 510 Battery either.

Is your coil screwed in all the way? I noticed on my fiances that his loosened up a bit and he couldn't get his to work at all.. Took a pair of tweezers and tightened it up (he had already filled the tank with liquid and didn't want to dump it) and it worked fine

The only thing I can think of is the center post on the Vivi Nova not touching your passthrough center post. You can raise the center post on the Vivi Nova slightly by using a paper clip. Straighten one leg of the clip and bend a tiny right angle on it using pliers. Use that to get between the center post and the outer ring and apply upward pressure. Lift it slightly by going around a little bit at a time, trying and repeating until it makes contact.

There's always the chance that your coil is flooded and not producing vapor. It should be filled only to bottom of the silicone sleeve around the coil. Try blowing the Vivi Nova out into a tissue and repeating. If it's flooded, it won't produce vapor.

Be gentle with the center post. You don't want it to suddenly pull all the way out! If that's the problem, you won't have to raise it but a fraction of a MM. Mine is just about even with the outer threads and works fine every time on my Provari. It doesn't have to stick out past the height of the threaded portion.

Okay, I disassembled it and cleaned it all Followed pbusardo tutorial.

Still misfires. And then I stick on the 2.8 Head.. watched the coil and hey presto it worked.

Probably just a bad head. Easy enough to re-coil and you'll be back in business.

Yup was a bad head - All sorted now. Lisa at Cloud 9 Vaping UK has been superb in her email replies, and will be sending out a replacement.
