Weird problem. I have a relatively new ViVi Nova tank Mini and currently use it with a 1000 mah Ego Twist. I have absolutely no problems from this pairing I run the twist at about 4.0 everything's just fine. However I also have a 650 mah Ego battery that simply will not function with the vivi attached. When I screw it on it either blinks until i unscrew it or more often does nothing at all until i unscrew it and then gives me three blips.

The 650 battery works fine with my 1.7 lr 510 atomizer. Which is why this is so puzzling to me.

Whatcha think?

Could the center pin on the 650 be depressed too much to work with the Vivi?

It's a problem that many have had and while the battery is turned off you can take small flat head screwdriver, or something suitable, to go into the 510 connector and just pry up/wiggle up a bit the center post.

Do you have something that works with both and is it only the ViVi? There were reports of them having the center positive post on the ViVi being a bit longer than the threads thus causing this situation more.

I've not had an issue on my 1100mah Twist and on my 2 ViVi's my center post is flush with the bottom of the threads.

Best of luck with you and hope you figure it out!

I'm *this* close to destroying my vivi nova by fire or something more creative.

I'll try one more time, but if this issue isn't resolved with replacement attys, I'm swearing off any wicking or carto devices altogether. Dripping is annoying as hell, but it's the ONLY thing that has worked.

ViVi Nova, you broke my heart within 2 days. Two days. And I was SO pumped...

Sigh...

The mini nova has let me down to buddy. The one I ordered tastes like burning something, tried switching the heads and still tastes awful.

There are so many ego style pv's out there that it may be difficult to tell which one you have. The reason that this is important is the amp limit on the switch. Many ego's have severe amp limitiations. In plain English, it means that if your resistance is too low on your Vivi Nova, the ego simply will not fire because the load is too high. The blinking light could be an indication that this is the case. The batch of Vivi's I got were around 1.1 ohms and would not fire on several of my other devices even with higher amp switches. It's a safety feature. The 1.1 ohm was way too low for me.

Also, when you say you re-wick, do you mean that you wrap the coil or simply replace the head. You really should invest in an ohmmeter which you can pick up for well under $20, even under $10.

I imagine this is the problem. all of the ego batteries (5) that don't work from the same place (local). they look the same but likely are cheap knock offs. Shame though. Hope the twist doesn't break until i get something to back it up with.

I'm really surprised to hear about all the burny taste complaints. I don't have that. At all. I do empty the tank at the end of the third or so tank full because the juice begins to get weird from what I suspect is that it wicks the flavor part of the juice away from the base or vice versa.
