I have 2 Vivi Novas I bought at local shops (both knockoffs as far as I can tell). Had them both about a month (as long ad I've been vaping), and I've had no problems with either one. I rebuild the heads around 1.8-2.2ohm with Kanthal A1 and doubled up cotton yarn and I like the taste better than the silica wicks, but even those only get bad with really thick juice. I did have some flooding issues before I started doubling up the cotton wicks, but since then, no flooding, no leaks, no dry hits....sometimes my juice pops me in the mouth right off the coil because the wicks are so wet........time to dial down the volts.

Actually, I just kind of want to get as many people's general opinion as I can.. I kind of know the answer to that, they are a little to keep up with for a beginner as far as cleaning/heads/wicks. I think it will be easy to pick up without messing anything up.. Just opinion searching.

You don't have to rebuild the heads yourself. You can buy replacement heads which are very easy to screw on and off. They are around $3 each here in town, but you can save a ton of money rebuilding them. You can also find them online in larger packs for cheaper. I started with CE4 clearomizers and burned up 3 in less than 2 weeks, but I was vaping a sampler of tobacco flavors that were really thick.
I mostly just bought the nova because the place in town just got it in......I get sucked in by shiny new toys very easily; just ask the folks at my bait and tackle shop.

I have several vv novas. To me they are not much different than a giant clearomizer. In that sometimes they work great, and other times they don't. I'm not a huge fan. I find my juice tastes gross about three quarters of the way through a tank. I was never a fan of ego mega's and they were all the rage at one point...I find vv nanos and ce2's best for me.

Do you guys recommend vivi nova's for first time users? or should I get something different to start? have a kgo from hoosier..

I do. My first kit is 510t and now i hardly ever use it. Save your money and go for the novas right away. Overall i think its the best bang for your buck by a long shot.

Pardonme: The gross taste is burnt silica. It happens because as the juice gets lower in your tank, it takes longer for the juice to get wicked up to your coil, therefore you are burning dry silica. Tilt your device or give it a twirl and you'll be golden. Good luck.

my mini nova does the same thing, the juice turns dark and thick when reaching the bottom of the tank

I have eight Vision Viva Novas, 5 minis and 3 regular sized ones. They all turn juice into a dark, thick tasteless goo as the tanks empty. However, none of the four Boge Vivi Novas I got at Vapor Beast do that. The juice remains light and clear even when the tank is empty and I'm vaping from drying wicks. Unfortunately, the Boge VNs do not come in a mini size but you can use the normal-size colored and anodized Vision VN tubes on them.

Can anyone give me advice on re-wicking the Nova using either stainless steel or hemp, preferably hemp? I've been considering it for a few days now and want to experiment with my Nova after reading some great reviews. Most say that you've never really 'experience' a Nova until you've built a custom head, as the manufacture heads are "hit-or-miss". I'm looking for a ~2.0ohm end result with hemp wicks.
