Yeah, this isn't the place for that discussion. It's the junk science that is similar and the demonization of anyone who disagrees with them. The way the major media agrees and the politicians are the same party at the federal level.

Unfortunately, they're not so "minor." The American Thoracic Society is the professional wing of the American Lung Association.

Leone has been misrepresenting the scientific and empirical evidence on e-cigs for the past several years, including last year when he testified at the Philly City Council hearing urging them to ban vaping in all workplaces.

At that same hearing, Leone heard testimony from many public health experts and vaping experts in support of vaping (and against Philly's vaping ban), including Carl Phillips, Gil Ross, Joel Nitzkin, Greg Conley and me. Igor Burstyn was at the hearing, but had to leave for a work meeting (because the bill's sponsor, the Philly Health Dept director and Frank Leone spent an hour lying about vaping before any of us were allowed speak for 3 minutes each, and they wouldn't allow Burstyn to move up on the agenda to testify earlier).
