A spokesperson for the Food and Drug Administration, which wants to regulate e-cigarettes, said, "We don't want the public to perceive them as a safer alternative to cigarettes" a puzzling statement considering that is precisely what they are.
Whoa...
"Former anti-tobacco U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, now a board member of an e-cigarette firm, said they are "the first thing I've seen in years that has promise for decreasing tobacco use in our country."

I wouldn't want to piss off a surgeon general, even if a previous one. If I were an ANTZ I think I'd change my name, then retire on an island far far away....

You're assuming the ANTZ function in the real world, instead of in their own little lalaland. They probably believe former surgeon generals who disagree with them should be afraid of *them*! Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall in either place...?
