Mispelled URL redirect

Ever accidentally type the ECF url wrong by putting an s at the end(-forums.com)? It gets redirected to puresmoker.com. I find this very distasteful especially for a vendor/supplier who has the privilege of having their own forum here on ECF.

Well we do have a few rather, um, distasteful places who have tried to url poach. That's what happens in the online world.

I don't think it's about being good dealer or not, it's more about not making money or gain off of the forums owners domain, the forum owner can forced puresmoker to give them the domain.

As I'm sure they must of had the sense to get it copyrighted and would easy win the domain, beside doing some thing like this is making me wonder, just how good then are pulling a stunt like that.

I'm not arguing the OPs point. But look at where you go if you accidentally leave the "e" out of puresmoker.com (pursmoker.com).

What you have to do is make the other party an offer for the domain - after all, they were clever enough to buy it, and you were stupid enough not to buy it. That's business.
